I’ve been looking for slab machines for a while now but all the reviews were trash and the one I ordered never showed up. I saw this and instantly had to try it! Yesterday I made my first slab cup at home in remembrance to our cat who just passed and I was able to make an even inch of slab all around. It’s truly a game changer. I love that on one side it has centimeters and the other side inches. The only issue I would say is trying to figure out how to use the wire with it steadily but once you get the hang of it, it works like a charm! 10/10 definitely recommend

Their video makes it look easy, but it is not. I’m going to try deepening the notches to see if that will help. I don’t know.

A good concept, but I found It's a hassle to use. It's very hard to keep a cutting wire in the miniscule grooves and changing to the next level requires starting all over.

I just can’t get these to work easily. They are small and clear, so hard to read and hold.

I too was excited about this product after seeing it "easily being used" by the seller on YouTube. I highly suspect the target audience is people new to pottery. I thought the price was high to get the stick with the numbers. However, I am desperate to cut even slabs and took the chance. I assume the seller works on this notion. I understand that the goal is to make money. The seller states in his video to "keep learning". As someone new to pottery this device only frustrated me and did not make me want to continue on with pottery. The problem is the notches are not deep enough to hold the wire. Also, you would think at $32 they could at least throw in a piece of wire! Maybe the wire cutter I have is of poor quality and that is the issue with the " sticks", since it had trouble wrapping and staying in the notch. I felt really duped when I stumbled on a similar product on Amazon for $8.99 and it includes a wire cutter. Someone did complain it came without numbers. For the price, I will happily write in the numbers!! It also appears to have deeper notches, which is essential for this product to work. Do not buy from this seller, as profit seems to outweigh quality and inspiring new potters to expand their skills. I would have loved to support an artist, but unfortunately I do not trust this one.
