Adesso Stix Floor Lantern – Twisted Square Black and Beige Base, Transitional Two Light Floor Lamp for Bedroom, Home Office Lighting, or Living Room Décor, 50” x 9.5”

Bought this lamp about five years ago and I continue to appreciate it as much as I did the day it arrived. Although it's constructed of hundreds of individual sticks, they've stayed in place all these years despite being bumped a couple times (and even then it did not topple over). The quality of the light it produces is excellent as an accent, but understand that the quality will vary greatly depending on the light bulbs you choose to place in it. The warmer the bulbs, the warmer the glow from this lamp. Cheap, bright bulbs will not look as good. I use a couple LEDs in it and haven't had to change a bulb since I purchased it. This is not a reading lamp, it's an accent lamp. If you're looking for a lamp that turns a dimly lit room into a brightly lit one, this is not the lamp for you. This lamp should be considered a design element, not as a utility. When not in use, I think this lamp looks best in bad light. In other words, don't expose it to direct sunlight by placing it beside a big window that gets lots of sunlight. Remember, it's a bunch of sticks backed by a paper shade. Not only is the sunlight likely to dry it out, it's just too harsh to compliment this piece. I like to keep my office dimly lit, and this lamp allows me to do that while also making the environment of the room more appealing.

I purchased this (finally) after eyeing it on Wayfair for three months. When I finally decided to purchase, I found the turn around time for product was much longer than I was willing to wait, so found it on Amazon for similar price, free shipping, and arrived in two days! It is brighter than expected, but that is not a bad thing. I put in a 60 watt bulb in the bottom, and it is plenty of light. It provides a warm, calming glow. It looks a bit like a sculpture when not lit, so overall, I think it is a very good product. It blends with many different decors. As previous reviews mentioned, it was a bit challenging to get the bulb into the bottom socket, but turning it on it's side and some patience worked.

Ms Snow's pic of the lamp shows what you get, it's a nice looking lamp that gives a soft glow. The cloth is a beige color, the long struts are metal the horizontal ones are wood. This is not a reading light, it's an accent piece. Nice lamp, I'd like to get one more for another room but the price is a little high for the materials and quality. Update; Price came down so bought another one. Total disappointment with second purchase. I just bought the same lamp again in March 2014 from a vendor on Amazon and the quality was poor, the cloth was very fragile paper and colored a strong orange. The ball feet are no longer balls, now flat on bottom, and all the metal welds are done badly. The horizontal sticks are not as sturdy as previous. The entire lamp is quite a bit lighter than the one I bought in 2012. The vendor insisted it is not a knock off and that Alesso must have reduced quality (and changed the color as a result) in order to keep the price down. I think the vendor was duped. I returned this lamp. I bought it AGAIN and it was delivered May 1 2014, but this time direct from Amazon, and it's fine, lamp is the same quality as the first one. Highly recommend.

If I could give this lamp more than 5 stars, I would. I am not an expert in judging art but I view this lamp as artistic. It is very well made and the design is simple but outside the box. It is made of materials from nature: the paper is beautiful and looks handmade, wooden sticks and a slim metal frame. I would think that it took someone many hours to make this lamp. It demands attention which makes it perfect for creating a focal point in any room. AND it gives out a warm, welcoming light (depending on the bulbs you use). I love it! It makes me feel wealthy without being so. What more could you want in deco lamp

For the price, this is a simple, lovely looking lamp for the home. The photos from both seller and customers really helped solidify my decision and i wasn't disappointed. The placement of the bulbs is a little difficult with short arms. The foot pedal activation is really nice and it works with a smart plug, too. With the recommended bulbs it offers a soft light that might be a little dim if you're looking to do careful work, or read unless you're right next to it. It's not as tall as i expected either. It sits low, so be mindful of the measurement and don't be fooled by the photos.

Needed a lamp to replace what had become my holiday tree. I absolutely love the ambiance it gives. An orange-ish/amber glow which is perfect for this space. I wanted something that was more muted and vertical. My only tiny complaint is that I wish it was a bit taller. I got the 4ft which was the tallest I saw. But planning to make a platform below it to elevate and it will be perfect. I use Edison type led bulbs. Got a smart dimmer for it I haven't figured out yet but haven't needed to so far. Anyways, it's a piece of art and warm lighting in one. Love it.

I could not be more displeased with this lamp. The size, the color, the condition it was shipped to me in, the lack of light bulb intensity. I might as well still be in the dark , and in the leaflet included in the lamp box you should not under any circumstances go higher with the bulb wattage. The only reason why I didn't send it back was because my car was in the shop when I got it and I didn't want to go thru the rigamarow of getting it repacked and to the UPS on public transportation. I wouldn't reccommend this lamp at all.

i got 2 of these lights, and they are WAY COOL. they are very lightweight and simple in design. the lining inside is a yellowish color, so when you put the bulbs in, it colors it to a beautiful warm off-white. it also casts a very interesting shadow on the wall from the diamond shaped top. VERY cool light, extremely happy i got it. totally worth the money. very unique and functional.

Looks nice, but some of the spindles are a bit crooked, they're wood, not metal so can bend easily, but overall pleased

Lamp arrived damaged. Paper shade worn out where it touches along sides.
