Far exceeded my expectations
I bought this to hold my bokken and, for $18.00, I was hoping/expecting a bag that would simply "do the job" as I didn't want to spend $50 on a cloth bag. However, I was really pleased to see that the quality of both the stitching and fabric exceeded my expectation. My bokken is 42" in length and fits in the bag with plenty of room to spare.

Too short to ever be functional.
I bought this bag to add some protection to my Shinken as I transport it to and from tameshigiri practice and the bag is FAR to small to function.The materials and construction seem fine, but the bag is about 6 inches too short. The idea for a bag like this is that the opening folds over completely and you tie it down with the string, leaving no part of the sword exposed. As you can see in the photos, that’s not even close to an option. My sword is a standard size with a 28 inch blade, so anything advertised as a “katana sword bag” is expected to fit.
