Quality is appreciated
When I decided to start making embroidered designs for my custom tunics, I did not think that the choice of hoops would be a major concern. I was wrong. Cheap hoops cause more problems than I could tolerate. So I acquired 4 Maosifang hoops even though, so far, I only use the largest one. The smoothness of the wood, the quality of the tightening device and the overall firmness of the hoops makes them much easier to work with.As I have discovered with other craft projects, quality tools and material are needed to produce quality results. It might seem like a small detail, but successful craft projects are composed of many small details.R-von

These were disappointing. They do not hold the fabric taut and if you try and tighten the fabric then the hoops pop apart - I need to return them.

Ouch!
The wood gave me splinters in my fingers as I cross stitched.

yes I like it but only one draw back when you screw it tight enough for your work to be secure enough it really hurts the fingers to unscrew it hope one day someone will find a new way that it will not hurt your fingers thank you bonnie

Uneven thickness between inner and outer ring
The inner and outer rings are warped and not of consistent thickness so fabric slips. I am gluing some rug grip to the inside ring to see if that will create a tighter pull for embroidery.

Good :)
This hoop really works well for the diy project that I was making for an event that I will be going too soon.
