Being a first-time mechanical keyboard user, I did not know what to expect. Before using the CB GK-18 (Red Outemu switches version), I had also ordered another cheaper alternative available on Amazon. I would have almost settled for that keyboard but I somehow convinced myself to go for this model. It will forever be the best decision I ever made. Cosmic-Byte has put in some amazing resources for the development of its budget gaming segment and it shows. Some key highlights after one month of daily usage - 1. The lower body of the keyboard is metal and the upper plate (just below the keycaps) is texturized plastic. Overall, it seems delightfully sturdy and heavy. Does not give a cheap plastic keyboard feel. 2. The plastic feet below the keyboard support it very well and provide the desired angle required for typing. 3. The braided connection cable is flexible yet tough. It is long enough to plug in behind a desk into a PC. I personally, use it with a USB hub and a laptop. Plugged it in one month back, haven't thought about it since then. 4. Most people are confused about whether to go for blue or red switches. I went for the red switches as contrary to popular opinion, I do not feel that red switches are limited just for gaming. Yes, it took some time to get used to the small actuation force, but once I got used to typing on this keyboard, going back to a membrane keyboard is just not possible. It is true that Outemu switches are probably not the best in the market but they are budget friendly and provide a perfect emulation for first time mechanical keyboard users. 5. Premium features like ‘per-key RGB’ and ‘all key anti-ghosting’ have also been some passive gamechangers. Cosmic-Byte is also working on releasing regular updates for CB-GK software which lets you customize the lighting and set macros. With the latest update, you can even enter the RGB code of a colour and the keyboard will reflect that. In conclusion, the CB-GK 18 has been a great mechanical keyboard for a first-time user. At first, I could not see a reason to pay extra just to get some switches under my keys, but those switches do make a lot of difference in both gaming as well as typing. My use case is mostly typing and some casual gaming. This has been my daily driver and has not failed to deliver yet. A must buy if you manage to get it during a sale. However, if you cannot wait for another sale, just go for it, it is still totally worth it!

Build quality is good. Key spacing is also good. Its a small keyboard so portability is not an issue too since you can just put it in your bag with your laptop. The wire is braided but for some reason mine got some internal damage after some time of normal usage and works only in a certain position. 2 keys were not working after 7-8 months of usage so since the keys are replaceable I interchanged some function keys with these two and works fine now. I mostly used it for gaming and coding.

Very smooth operation... Red switches aren't that clicky... If you want clicky sound just go for the blue ones... No bluetooth support... But does the work well... Good build quality... Metal frame and with sturdy base... An overall good product... I bought at around 2k...

Even after 1 year and 3 months, this keyboard is amazing! I cannot praise it enough. Pros: -Tenkey-less layout fit's perfectly on my desk mat with sufficient space for my mouse. -Software app works well, easy to use/install. RGB and keys are programmable. Lots of fun -Red switches are perfect for gaming. The windows lock is also useful. -The PRICE. All the above features are given for ONLY 2K. You definitely get what you pay for and more. The only problems I have encountered are: -After 1 year the 'F' and 'U' keys' RGB light has become dimmer and do not function as well as before. The other keys' RGB are functioning perfectly. -Stabilizers rattle a little. -NOT hot-swappable which makes modding the keyboard a bit complicated. If you do not intend to mod, this is not a problem for you. Extremely satisfied with my purchase. Go for it. Worth every rupee.

As it’s my first mech keyboard, I am overjoyed by the features of this keyboard using it for just 10 days everything’s good the stabilizers are quite good except for the right shift key. Overall the typing experience is excellent. I have the red linear switch variant. Pros: 1.Full RGB 2.Dedicated Software 3.braided cable 4. Linear red switches 5. Better price than other competitors Cons: 1. Not hotswappable ( at this budget no one gives hot swappable not an issue) 2. The brightness of the rgb can be upgraded it’s not that bright. *Update:* After a month of usage 2 keys stopped working got it repaired by cosmic byte whole process took around 3-4 weeks🙂 After it arrived within a day another key got defected and I sent it to them asking for a replacement or a refund. They said as there are no stock I have to wait till oct first week I sent it to them round first week of sept. Well they said they will not refund in case I can opt for any other product but I said I don't want anything else and just the kb so I have to wait for like a month. Let's see will keep updating. Conclusion by my own experience: extremely bad experience on the basis of product and as well the customer service, rather save your money and buy some good brand's product. Update: Today 9th of oct, I'm gonna receive my replacement product after waiting for a month because it was out if stock so it is a horrible experience overall. Also I'm very doubtful that the keyboard will even work properly for a week. Total waste of my money. I don't know how these yt reviewers get good products.
