I love Joe Hisaishi's music, and these are great arrangements for solo piano. I did find one spot with some notes where I was scratching my head wondering about the fingering that would make those notes possible, but other than that, I figured out my own fingerings just fine and I've really enjoyed learning these beautiful songs. I'd say these are for advanced pianists more than moderate-ability ones, but anyone who put in the effort to learn these will enjoy them.

I love everything about this book. the paper is of the finest quality , as is the print. The arrangements are excellent, easy to read, not too hard to perform.

This book has some beautiful music in it, that is true to the composer. I would include multiple songs from this book for any intermediate (more than 1 year) piano student. Anyone who appreciates learning to play gifted film composers will love this book.

This is a great book and my son is really enjoying learning every piece. Too bad it doesn't have any fingering. But it's ok for early advanced players who know how to figure out the fingering.

Bought this for the composer's version of Merry Go Round of Life which sounds better for piano forte and has somewhat more manageable fingering on the last measures of the piece compared with the version in Piano Stories 4. This is an excellent selection of Ghibli compositions by the master himself. One must be proficient with typical intermediate piano skills requiring practice to perfect all the pieces. Familiarity with these common studio ghibli tunes is a plus. More proficient piano players can sight read this easily and perfect it with ease especially if one is familiar with the melody. Like in life, practice makes perfect.

I was surprised how quickly it arrives: jumped on the piano and sight-read a few pieces. I am an advanced level pianist and this is intermediate to advanced level. Nice arrangement with rich chords and key transitions. Great quality. I don't know all the songs but a few that I know and love played beautifully.

I heard Merry Go-Round of Life on a playlist and really wanted to play it myself, so I found, ordered, and just got this beautiful book. The pages are nice and the music is printed nicely on the page. Sometimes that’s not the case! It looks at least advanced intermediate level in order to really play these well. Not all the titles have an English translation, but it’s not difficult to tell what they are.

I didn’t know what to expect, I’ve been trying to find piano books on amazon with more advanced pieces, and this book delivered! I’m so happy with this purchase, every song is beautiful and printed very well, highly recommend for more advanced players!
