It’s a great rice cooker if you know what you’re doing
I offer a word of caution: if you’re a novice at rice cookers or preparing sticky rice, this is not an entry level model. Go with something cheaper if you aren’t familiar with how good rice SHOULD be cooked. A rice cooker will only cook rice as well as the person preparing it.I bought this for my wife as an early Christmas present because our previous Cuckoo died one day after nearly 10 years of daily use. It works great so far and the Korean voice quality and clarity has vastly improved. Older models sound muffled and unclear but I can understand every word of this one. I haven’t had any difficulty with the manual or settings, being able to read and speak Korean. Overall it works great and makes rice perfectly if you know what you’re doing already.

Bet multi-cooker ever!
I've been using it for over 2 months now and I have to say my rice never tasted so good! Brown rice, purple rice and other healthy rice is what my children will now eat thanks to this ultra pressurized cooker which makes all these grains really soft without being overly mushy. I also used it to cook ribs in 35 min, steamed potatoes and carrots in 15 min. I haven't made soup yet- saving that for the warmer months to come. I also used it to make juk (congee in Chinese) which is a Korean rice gruel with some chicken and broth and I have to say my kids loved it! It reduces the number of appliances I need on the counter. It also keeps rice soft and fresh for up to 7 days! I've done it for 4 so far and it does what it claims. Love It!

Fully automated, very robustly build cooker that knows it’s rice
Way over priced comparing with similar offers from Zojirushi. Also do not buy from Cuckoo America for its exorbitant restocking fee, refusal to price match, and buyer to pay returning postage.Functionally it is excellent. Very robustly build and the control is quite easy to figure out without reading the manual, which by the way has a very poorly written part in English. It is fully automated, one does not even need to do the depressurization. It’s also very quiet. The steam release is a gentle hiss and it’s the only tell tale sign that it is cooking. My first pressure cooker that does not send my cats blasting out of the kitchen.Tried it cooking brown sushi rice and the result is amazing. Soft and sweet but with a bite (crunchy seed coat). Very fragrant too. I could not get this with a stove top pressure cooker or the best Iga Mono donabe (clay pot).White sushi rice is great too, a step up from a Zojirushi IH atmospheric pressure cooker. The texture and taste from pressure cooking is quite different from using an nonpressurized cooker. A little sticker, sweeter. The toasty rice function is a surprise. I’ll report when I have a chance to try it out.The talking interface is interesting but I can do without. The Korean voice sounds cute, the English is ok - siri’s voice sounds better to me, the Chinese sounds a little awkward. The inner pot is very robust but looks small for anything else other than cooking rice. I think I will use it only for rice. The water level markings on the inner pot is confusing. Apparently, gluten rice means sushi rice not the sticky high gluten rice, Gaba brown rice uses the same water ratio as that for the normal brown rice cycle. This will take some experiments.

THE GOOD: Wonderful Cooker With All The Best Bells and Whistles -- THE BAD: Expensive Product and Weak Manufacturer Warranty
The media could not be loaded. The best rice cooker I ever had. It has so many preset functions. A variety of rice and mixed grain cooking functions. High (2 ATMs) and low (1.2 ATMs) pressure cooking functions. And high and low pressure steaming functions.I've only had mine a couple of weeks but have cooked white, brown, brown mixed, and GABA (sprouted brown) and the results are truly fantastic. You get sticky, chewy, fluffy, bouncy kernels. But practice does make perfect. The inner pot is marked with recommended water measurements for various rice and grains. However, depending on how you like your rice, you might need try it a couple of times before you figure out how to adjust the water levels to consistently achieve the texture you prefer. I like my white rice harder so I used low pressure and slightly less water than recommended. Perfection! I like my brown rice softer, so I add more water and use the brown or GABA setting which cooks at high pressure. Delicious! The keep warm function is great. The rice does dry up a little with time but it is so minimal that is is a non-issue. Compared to my old cooker...pfttt. You can keep cooked rice inside hot and ready for consumption at any time you feel like it for 3 days! The construction of this rice cooker is very nice. It is solidly built. The inner pot is thick and stainless steel with a thick non-stick coat that is beautiful and glittery. It's like looking into deep space and truly a thing of beauty. It stands out on my counter top. In fact, it is the first thing everyone notices when they come to my kitchen. "Whaaa??? Is that a rice cooker???" I've gone through 2 or 3 of the nice Japanese brand rice cookers. When it came down to this purchase I was debating between this one and the Japanese IH pressurized model Zojirushi Induction Heating Pressure Rice Cooker & Warmer 1.0 Liter, Stainless Brown NP-NVC10. I was able to see both in person at a local store. You cannot even compare the two. Pick them both up and handle them a bit and it is very obvious the Japanese one is light and flimsy in comparison.Comes with the standard plastic rice measuring cup, plastic rice paddle, stainless steel steaming rack, and instruction manual. Comes in a big full-color glossy box featuring a Korean actor/singer with flawless skin.So why not 5 stars? For one, the user manual could be better. I'm sure the Korean part is great but I'm not fluent in Korean. And I get this is Korean company so they may face some challenges when it comes to the English language. But the English part is just not that good. You really have to make some guesses to interpret it sometimes. Plus it is missing some vital information. It doesn't tell you how to change the language setting (which another reviewer was complaining about). Thankfully that was easy. I posted a video demonstrating how to set the languages. There is also a written step-by-step on how to set the language on your Cuckoo rice cooker. It can speak Korean, English, and Chinese! The price point was also a problem. At $650...it is very expensive for a rice cooker. It's over $700 with tax!!! I get that this is Cuckoo's newest model, just released, and that I paid full price but still. Maybe it's meant to be a status symbol or something. If so, it should also come with a thick chain so I can wear the cooker around my neck when I'm not using it to cook rice. Seriously though... the price is a bit ridiculous. The manufacturer is offering only a 1 year warranty. Weak, especially if you considered how much you paid for it. If this is such a great product, I expect the manufacturer to stand behind it.So far, I am really loving the rice cooker. It was very splurgey but I expect it to last many many years. And if it doesn't, you bet I will be back to update my review and complain! Finally I just want to say I love rice again. I've eaten more rice in the last three weeks than the past several years combined. GABA sprouted brown is my new favorite!

Expensive but the best
Very expensive, but best quality on the market. If money is no object, go for it.

... older and chaper version and think that is a better buy than this one
I own an older and chaper version and think that is a better buy than this one. There is no English language to it and we have this expensive cookware, but we can only use one function. The manual is small font and hard to follow. I would have gone for a cheaper version that does the same thing.
