There is something I like about the tactile experience of using a manual corkscrew to open a bottle of wine. What I don't like is the unseemly grunting and pulling that comes with most manual openers. This corkscrew is solidly made (no more corkscrews breaking halfway through the job) and always goes all the way through the cork on the first screw (with lesser models, I often have to screw it in again before attempting to pull out the cork). It feels like it will last me through the rest of my wine drinking days and I know it won't embarrass me in front of company (sweating all over the bottle of wine you're about to serve is so not nice).This purchase was made after using the product at a friend's house and being amazed at how solid and great to use it was. When I found out she had owned it for almost 10 years, I knew I had to have one for myself.

The product is great but the packaging was destroyed and I had planned on giving them as wedding gifts which I could not do.

Crazy expensive; it is just a corkscrew. I have had one for 30+ years and could not live without it. I had to have one for my vacation home, and now one for my adult daughter. It is the only screw that you will ever use, once you have one. If you can afford a case of wine, you cannot afford not to have this corkscrew. It is the best and worth its wacko price.

I have had this model of corkscrew for several years. Friends and family who visit and use this corkscrew love it. My mother wanted one just like mine so I bought this for her for Christmas. My dad didn't know I was buying her one and he purchased a different corkscrew. Mom let me know that she liked this one from Amazon much better than the one from Costco. The Costco one was returned!I have never had a problem with the corkscrew being shoved down in the bottle. Easy to align the corkscrew with the bottle and cork.

We broke our TAVERNELLO corkscrew (which was a gif) and were excited to be able to find an identical replacement. What a joke. The corkscrew that we received was not even close to the quality of our ORIGIONAL.The purchase price was refunded which was appreciated. But we would rather have had a true Tavernello exactly as ordered.

While there are many types of corkscrews on the market, this one always does the job with relative ease. I have had one of these for many years and I bought this one as a gift for a relative.

My original which I used for many years finally broke. I replaced it. Best corkscrew ever
