Excellent pump for pumping water from below grade, specifications included in the review.
Excellent pump, works with my washing machine lifting the drain water 9 feet and 20 feet horizontal. The container fills to some level then the pump starts, all water is pumped out in 20 seconds or less. It does require about 10 minutes of assembly when received, simple with one screwdriver. It would be nice if the manufacturer included some adapters to reduce both inlet and drains. Amazon does not give much information on pumps, What is of interest is that the pump will pump 36GPM at 5 feet, 30 at 10 feet, 25 at 15feetm and 12 at 20 feet.

Perfect Fit
This item is compact and perfect for small spaces. I use it in my garage where I installed a washer dryer. The pump works perfectly. All the parts needed are included. You just need to adapt your extra pvc to take the water out wherever you need it to go. I highly recommend this item. Good value as well. The powerful pump is a little noisy when pumping the water but for my purpose it's just a couple of seconds.

Pretty Darn Loud
This pump was purchased to replace one that had dies after many years. It was easy to install and works great. The only downside is that is is loud. You can feel the vibrations throughout the whole house each time is pumps. Fortunately, that is only when we do laundry but it is annoying.

For New Owners
I bought mine about nine years ago and replaced the pump once during that time. I am going to give you some suggestions that might improve your experience. I am not a plumber or an expert. I am not responsible for any water damage to your property for following my suggestions. That's your problem.First of all - prepare for the worse !! There will be a malfunction or failure; you must be ready beforehand when that occurs. The container is not waterproof !! A washer can put out 10 to 20 gallons, and that water has to go somewhere. The container is not designed to hold all that water, so have a plan in place for it beforehand. Many sinks do not hold that much water either. I placed my container in a storage bin to catch the overflow. See the first picture. The bin was from Walmart and can hold about 18 gallons. This one thing is the most important thing to know. HAND-TIGHTEN THE ATTACHMENT TO THE INLET OPENING !! In fact, hand-tighten all the attachments since it is made of plastic. Put a message on the top of the container to remind your future self only to hand tighten it or never remove it once it is on. Too Tight, and you will crack the plastic. The Inlet is the weakest part of the container. Picture two shows a message to my future self. You can suffer malfunctions due to what is put down the drain. The pump uses a floating lever on a shaft that rises and lowers with the water level. Too much lent, dirt, and solvents, like paint, can make it malfunction. Best to just let only water go down the drain. Picture three shows a lent catcher. This will likely extend the life of the pump as well.So what if you do break the plastic inlet (seen in other posts and which I did nine years later since I didn't leave a message to myself)? All may not be lost. This is a costly investment; you don't want to buy a new container. A recommended glue for plastic is pictured above. If you glue the inlet, the attachment must be put on; oh, so softly !! I don't know if superglue works; you can try at your own risk.Another option is to have the 1 1/4 pipe coming from the sink bypass the attachments and go all the way inside the container. This is what I did with the glue. I reamed out the attachments to allow the 1 1/4 inch pipe to slide all the way through to the container. Make a note. The attachments are 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 with a 1 1/2 pipe between them, allowing the sink pipe to slide inside, bypassing the crack case. Picture four shows the pipe going through the attachments. Plumbing parts are expensive. Make sure my idea works for you before laying the money down.Lastly, You will want some way of warning yourself that the pump failed. You may not see the water in the sink if you run a load and then return hours later to put it in the drying. By then, all the water could be in the basin vs in the sink. Failing to recognize the failure will only lead to water damage even after your good effort. I got a see-through basin to check before running the wash. I am sure there are other ways to help warn you of a failure. I suggest doing some research and preparing for the worse to avoid water damage.

Performs well
A must for basement laundry and deep sink. I had to install a ball valve on the discharge for flow metering. Otherwise it pumps out the basin within 10 seconds. I would only advise on the noise. The plastic basin allows for all the pump noise to amplify in the basement. Not deafening but will startle you if you’re not expecting it.

Go buy one of the cheaper pumps
I understand most of these pumps are designed the same but I figured I'd pay on the higher end for higher quality. I just can't believe how badly this product is designed. It is SUPER LOUD. You can hear it through the entire house, its in the basement of course. And next, it leaks water where the lid is attached to the basin. There is a gasket but it does a terrible job sealing at the corners. I will probably be sending this back if I can't find a way to get the noise level down.

Great replacement
Had one for about 15 years, started leaking at the top tried to fix many time, and just decided to get a new one. Much better construction and pump works great. Had to do a bit of re-plumbing but all in all only took about two hours to install and I have a working drain again. Also much quieter than the previous one.
