Nice and simple style for a small front porch
This is the third item in the Suncast line that I own. I like the simple design and while it's not air tight (and you wouldn't want it to be), it does allow water to roll off while stored items inside remain dry. I bought this as an accent piece for my small front porch. This was so easy to put together - literally a SNAP. Remember to read the instructions completely BEFORE assembly to avoid some frustrating mistakes I've seen here. I like things that do double-duty and this is the perfect fit, that's why I give it 5 stars.Update: Fast forward 10 years later. Got another one and the quality hasn't diminished a bit. It remains just as easy to assemble as before, I am a 64 year old woman and this took me 15 minutes to put together... literally a SNAP! Giving my older one to a neighbor, she's been using it anyway. If you're receiving yours during the cold winter months, I suggest that you allow the package to warm to room temperature before assembly. Cold plastic becomes brittle and pieces can break.

Nice small, outdoor bench/storage
I just received this and had it snapped together in about 10 minutes. The instructions were simple and clear, the pieces clearly marked. It works just as described. There might be a few slight gaps but so far no snow or rain inside the storage compartment. It doesn't weight a lot. I did place a container with sand inside in case of a strong wind as it seemed to slide pretty freely on my icy driveway. I live on a hill and didn't want it to end up in my neighbor's yard. (That would have to be a pretty strong wind, mind you, but better safe than sorry.)Anyway, I bought this to have an attractive and waterproof location for package delivery outside the garage door. I don't have a covered porch easily accessible for delivery people. Most of them end up putting stuff in plastic bags. This should be good for the majority of my deliveries (although this box would NOT have fit in it, LOL)It's only been in use a few days of subzero temps with inches of snow. So far so good. If it holds up and works well, I plan to get a larger one for the front door area on the front of the house.I do wish this came in some other colors/color combinations though.

Suncast Deck Furniture Products
Do like these Suncast items! I was a little disappointed in this particular one as there ended up being a lot of water in it after a good rain. (No, I did not leave the top open! HA!). I think it actually has to do with a "flap lip" on the back inside where the back rest is after you raise the seat. (Snap together part!) I think water is coming "over" it and leaking into the bottom. There is a "channel lip" all the way around the 3 sides to "catch" and divert water, the flap may have something to do with water leaking inside. Was a little disappointed in this one as much more water got in it than the other two I bought. I also bought the big bench and only a tiny bit of water got in it. And I bought the single seat in which the whole lid lifts up and NO water got in it. I don't think the amount of water getting in has to do with the channel so much as the water going between the seat and the back area and hitting the "lip" inside and falling in. I use the single seat to store cat towels I use on the back deck for my cats. The furniture - while snap together - is really sturdy. I am impressed with it! I plan on buying one to 2 more sets in the near future. Do wish they came in white and chocolate. But the beige is really a nice color. They are also VERY easy to wipe water off of and keep clean. I would absolutely buy these again, and plan to. Soon!

It's very sturdy as a seat once together
I'm not sure if I got a used one or if there is manufacturing defects in it, but once it was together they weren't noticeable and it's functional. What I mean is some of the plastic seemed stretched and warped. It's very sturdy as a seat once together, though. I almost knocked 1 star off because the bottom is corrugated plastic, meaning it won't hold much weight on the inside, but I only intend to store my winter items such as gloves, hats, scarves etc in there so it should be fine for my purposes. It's the perfect size for my entry hall and I love that it's plastic so if it gets wet and dirty from muddy, snowy boots it should be very easy to clean. Really saved me from having to build a custom bench since one in this size that's also sturdy and easy to clean is very hard to find. A great product over all!! I know I'm going to love it.Edit to add (2018) After a year or so of use, the top of the seat cracked. My partner weighs about 260lb and I weigh about 165lb. I had to cut strips of wood and screw them onto it. It seems fine after doing that but of course the lid doesn't stay up now. I still really like it. The wood fix isn't bad.

Extremely pleased with the Suncast Patio Seat
I bought this seat to store all of my son's outdoor toys for easy access. So far I have been really happy with it! I have not noticed any "warping" of the lid like other reviewers mentioned. I've had it for about 6 months now, and it's served its purpose well! It has a decent amount of storage inside. It's a really attractive bench, too! I live in California, so the climate is fairly mild. It has, however, held up in some rain, and I didn't notice any water inside. The bench was extremely easy to put together - it only took a few minutes. My toddler even helped hold some of the pieces in place. I would definitely recommend this outdoor bench. The price is phenomenal for such exceptional quality!

Came with two right panels…useless
Easy to assemble. Seems like it would be fairly sturdy. This is the second one, first being a mini.Unfortunately it came with two right side panels!

Sturdy
Nice addition to my deck. Sturdy and solid. Storage space is always a good thing. Haven’t had a big rain yet to know how water proof the inside is. Nice for extra seating outside. Easy assembly. Took about 10 minutes. A good buy for what we needed.

Easy to assemble and plenty of storage space!!
I love my new patio chair!! Super easy to assemble - no tools needed and you just snap the parts together. Surprisingly sturdy once assembled. I placed 3 full bags of my traeger wood pellets inside along with a partial bag and there is still room to spare so plenty of storage space - even my dog loves it!! 😁The only downside is it took forever to get delivered. It was a couple weeks late but worth the wait!!

Capacious, well made and compact.
Just what I needed for a small space just outside the back door. Holds the hose I use for washing the dog, wellingtons, football, and watering can all of which the dog would chew if left out. The seat clips down so it doesn't flop about and keeps the contents dry. Also surprisingly comfortable to sit on. Not cheap but worth the money if you are trying to find storage for a small space. Quick and easy to put together.

Worked out great for our needs.
We bought this seat for our pontoon boat...worked out well...it is not completely waterproof during a rainfall but it does keep most of the water off stored cushions inside.

It's OK. Not as smart as in the photo but weatherproof.
Well OK. It DOES look a bit plasticky, but it stands up to the weather and it makes a useful seat in the porch of the house. In our case, it is also used as a package store in situations where the postman has to deliver a parcel and there is no-one home. We live in a quiet suburb where there is little worry about stealing but in less law-abiding areas, it would be a problem as there is no-where to put a lock. In such a situation I would have to rig up something like a hinged bar that could be swung over the seat to lock the lid in place so that it cannot be opened by the casual thief. Of course a determined villain would just kick it in.
