Does the job
I purchased the Behringer KM1700 to replace an old amp used to power a pair of speakers at the softball field press box. They were using an old powered mixer that didn't have enough power for the speakers. I'm not sure what the speakers are since they are mounted up high on the sides of the pressbox. I had an extra mixer laying around so I ordered the KM1700 to couple with it. It sounds so much better now and the players can actually hear it on the field. Only regret is not upgrading to an amplifier with crossover options, incase i wanted to use it later for a sub, but it works perfect for this application.

Great Amp
Great Amp, been using it for almost 3months in a bars dance floor driving 2 18' subs from 10pm to 2am 4 nights a week and on friday and saturday nights the DJs really push this amp. The sound is amazing, the bass punches much sharper and customers have commented on how great the bass sounds now. Another plus is that despite being pushed really hard, the amp generates no noticeable heat, the DJs comment on how much cooler the DJ booth is now.

Nice amplifier, build quality is good and works as described. If you plan on using the binding posts know that that it will not accommodate banana jacks (no hole) and the hole for inserting the wire struggles to accommodate 12 AWG wire. The amplifier is actually fairly quiet in operation, quieter than my QSC RMX1450. I have not dug out official test gear yet, however, it seems the amplifiers power ratings are peak and not RMS. Also note the power supply seems a bit anemic and seems to not allow the amplifier to deliver more than ~600W total for any period of time. All that being said this is still one heck of a bargain for what you get!

Well worth the money.
Even though this was the replacement for the one I just bought 6mths. ago. The first one was damaged due to a electrical storm. Learned my lesson buy warranty and a surge protector.

Normal sound quality
This Amp was not loud enough to compare my previous amp and there was a humming noise as well .

Built well, sturdy.
Easy to use but the directions lacked quality information. Had to learn the unit by trial and error. Overall happy with the purchase and quality. I like the dual cooling fans. This unit was used with the Behringer cordless 8 pc microphone set for an outdoor HOA annual members meeting. 200-250 people present at meeting and all members able to hear the persons speaking.

Great amp! Very heavy!
I've run a small DJ business for the past 20+ years. My old faithful Mackie amp hit the fritz after 20+ years of service. I don't do near as many gigs as I did back then so I decided to buy a cheaper amp. This amp is excellent for my needs! It sounds as good or even better than my old Mackie! I run 2 old JBL JRX100 speakers and a newer Mackie ProFXv2, 8 A-B Box, 8-channel mixer along with this amp. Just make sure your back is in shape before lifting this amp!
