UDI U817 U817C U817A U818A RC Quadcopter Anti-Clockwise Motor U817-04

The part arrived in a cellophane bag marked U817A-04. The square bar is 3" from the wired end to the inside edge of the motor seat and is a perfect fit for the U818A. The LED on the part is red not white as described above; LED color helps determine the quadcopter's orientation in low-light flying. The motor wires are black+white which indicates the part provides anti-clockwise propeller shaft rotation (for propellers marked B1). The part should be perfect for the U818A's left-rear B1 propeller. You'll need a #0 Phillips screwdriver for installation.I have not used this part; I ordered it in case the motor rotation in the description was literal rather than describing propeller rotation. The description of the part should accurately specify the propeller rotation, motor wire colors, and LED color. I hope this review assists those like myself who find the description insufficient.

Got my drone stuck in a tree, tried to free it by flying it out, only succeeded in burning one motor. Got this replacement and I was back in business.

Good price, easy to install, and works great.However - it really sucks that the LED color is blue and not red like the original. This really makes it tougher to fly at night since the blue is designated as the front and the red indicates the back of the drone.

Works great only thing is instead of blue light it got a red one but other than that it works great

I burned out a motor crashing into a tree. The replacement motor fit the drone and turns in correct direction. Different colored wires than original. LED is red, original was blue. Pinion gear is rough. The motor runs, but it is noisy. Drone flies OK after trial and error set up of wires.

I ordered two spare motors, one for clockwise rotation and the other for counter-clockwise rotation using the part numbers from the booklet that came with my drone. It took several weeks to arrive (from China) and both were for the clockwise rotation and had the same part numbers. The instructions as translated in the booklet are so badly done that it would be comical if I was not using it to try and learn how to operate my drone. For instance the section that begins: "Addiction instructions for receipt board" wtf?

Was very easy to replace. My udi 818a is back up in the air. No problems.

The bar is too long, I had to cut it down in length to fit it in the u818A. Plus, it won't fly even though it is wire correctly and has a new propeller on that motor. Useless part. It is too bad that the maker does not answer questions or post a well written manual online. They just don't care it would seem. Their manual is a joke, diagrams unclear, text horrible use of the English language, like using bosom for center of quadcopter. There is no mention of places to buy repair parts, even though this quadcopter seems fairly easy to repar if one had even a rudimentary guide supplied by the manufacturer.PHhouse seems just as oblivious to supporting their products.
