GENUINE Frigidaire 240356501 Meat Pan Hanger

11/27/2013 Update: I received the correct part this time and it fit perfectly. Good customer service from Amazon. Looks like the previous mis-labeled part was an isolated incident. Interesting it got here a lot faster when customer service ordered it (1 day) than when I ordered it originally with Prime.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------11/26/2013: I received the wrong item. I shipped it back to amazon and hopefully they can send me the correct one. The package the item was in (from the manufacturer) showed the correct catalog #, but someone had slapped a label with the wrong part # on top of the manufacturer's. I will soon find out if they did this to all of them or if this was an isolated incident.

Exactly like the one that broke on our refrigerator. Easy to install (slide the tabs into place, screw into place) and the bin slides on it easily.I have to agree with the reviewer who stated that the Frigidaire refrigerator is not as durable as the "old school" Hotpoint appliances... I owned an all-metal (and glass) Hotpoint range for several years, and the only thing we had to replace was a small coil burner. The list of repairs to my Frigidaire appliances grows by the week, but when I shop around for higher quality appliances (within a reasonable $2k and under budget), everything is made of plastic... even the cases.Good thing replacement parts such as this meat pan hanger are relatively cheap and accessible.

So far so good. Easy installation and we can finally pull our drawer out all the way without the whole thing falling to the floor. It's plastice so we'll see how long it lasts.

Broke the support piece on this deli meat drawer hanger in my Frigidaire. Dangerous cheese situation ensued. Replacement was a breeze: take drawer out, clean off shelf, remove, remove 1 screw, snap out old one, then snap in the new one and reverse. Used right rail on bottom in picture.Four stars until until it makes 2mths or more for the $28 price point. EDIT: This has survived at least 3 months now, so I am upping the stars to 5.

Product came well packaged and secured. Part seemed authentic with the same markings as my existing/broken part. Easy to install, if you remove the meat pan tray. One for one swap of my sagging meat pan tray. See if it holds up.

I had broken both tracks when the door closed on the open drawer. (one worse than the other).I ordered this and the other one from Amazon, received them on Monday following a weekend and spent about a half hour replacing the tracks. Most of the time was spent taking things out of the refrigerator and putting them back after replacing the tracks. The actual track replacement took less than 5 minutes for both tracks. The fit perfectly and the drawer now works as good as new.

This is a failed design product on the part of Frigidaire. For cheap, mass produced plastic railings, these are expensive. They are more expensive when they only lasted about six months before they began failing at the same point and cracking down the length of them. They are just not strong enough to hold about three pounds in cheeses and meats for the cheese drawer. In theory, it should hold at least five pounds, given the width of the drawer. I just won't be using the drawer these hang from to speak of.

Okay, if you're like me and have a Frigidaire dating back to the second Bush's 1st term, you've probably gotten frustrated trying to figure out part numbers. On my model Frigidaire (FRS26HF6BB2) the part number for meat pan hanger (right side) is listed as AP2116038 on the Appliance Parts Pro site, but the part number changed at some point to 240356501. So if you're looking for AP2116038, this part works.It appears to be OEM quality. Installation was easy and I've had no problems with the drawer.
