MSI Gaming AMD Ryzen B350 DDR4 VR Ready HDMI USB 3 CFX Micro-ATX Motherboard

Edit: Replacement board still feels loose for my taste but everything has been functioning great. It overclocks pretty well despite being the cheapest B350 micro atx board I could find. Be sure to update to the latest BIOS and chipset drivers. PCIE slot is VERY loose and wobbly with a card inserted. No issues when trying the same card on an ASUS board. The white LED back lighting is a cool extra, as is the single RGB design beneath the GPU that can be color changed in software. I wish I knew it was going to be larger than similarly priced "gaming" boards as I would have gone with one of those for easier cable management. Board had trouble posting with LED indicators saying that the problems were components that had worked perfectly for times it did post. Reseating components or not seemed to have no effect on the random post or no post. PCIE socket became a problem once the assembly was moved to a case, as the GPU was now sagging dramatically within the slot until I used a support bracket for it. From then on the mobo failed to post, citing VGA not found on the LED indicators. First time trying an MSI board so I hope the replacement being sent by Amazon resolves the problem. If not I'll just go for a brand I have experience with like ASUS. 3 stars because I'm sure I had a lemon, and things worked beautifully when they worked.

I bought this MOBO on May 3, 2017 and I was waiting until now before I reviewed it just encase I ran into any problems. I paired this board with a Ryzen 5 1600 and I've been running it overclocked at 3.8ghz and I've been using the XMP settings for my RAM since day one and still have not run into any cooling, or technical problems. Bios is easy to install and update. UEFI is sleek and very user friendly. Has more USB ports then most micro ATX AM4 MOBO 8 total on the back (4x2.0 4x3.1), and connections for up to 6 (4x2.0 2x3.1) more on the front. For the price you can't beat this micro ATX MOBO my only complaint is that there are only 2 system Fan connectors (counting cpu fan header) so if you want more then 2 fans make sure your fans have a Molex Connector before you purchase. This board has lasted me almost 8 months as of writing this and I expect it to last me several years without any problems (will update review if something happens)

Does its job. It was easy to install everything and put in my case. The ATX power ran into my hard drive cage and required some very tight sliding and fitting. This could be due to my case or the placement of power being too high (most cases have hard disks on the bottom, not the middle and usually are far enough away). The price was right, but even though I met the deadline for the rebate, MSI had nothing on file for this particular board (oh well). The color scheme is nice to look at when the case is open, but I can see some power users wanting more color with a see through case. There are only 4 SATA ports which is fine for me, but makes on-board raiding a bit difficult. Bootup is quick, but not as fast as my previous military grade motherboard. With the same SSD boot drive, I went from a 10 second boot (according to Win10 Task manager) to 18 seconds. Still much better than my old 386. Definitely worth a grab if you want in on Ryzen action, but don't want a massive or costly board.

Do not buy if you are going to use Ryzen chips with integrated graphics. The one I received had an older BIOS version that was not compatible without an update. The website says it is compatible but new stock boards must not be available yet. This was not an issue for me because I knew of the possible issue before hand and I have an older AM4 CPU laying around to do the update. If you don't have that option it can be very hard to source one in a rural area. If you have the time you can also get a loaner CPU from AMD. That being said once the update was done this board works great. Overclocking is simple and four RAM slots if you have 4 gig sticks of DDR4 and want to get to 16 gig.

This is a good board, just make sure you update the BIOS. I found a number of stability issues with the one I received that cleared up once I updated the BIOS (without that, it wasn't even stable enough to reinstall an OS). Beyond that minor issue (which shouldn't be a problem if you're installing the board) it performs as required. I would like to see the slower PCIE slot moved lower on the board though just to give the GPU a bit more room, but it's tight clearance with other parts so I get it.

Had trouble with the first one, and Amazon sent a second immediately. (I suspect the problem was on my end.) The computer's working great and I couldn't be more satisfied. I'm seriously thinking of building a second system using this same mobo. I used one of the new AMD Ryzen APUs, and MSI broke the news to me that the mobo's VGA output is dead with such a processor, but the DVI and HDMI outputs are fine. USE THIS MOTHER BOARD!!!

Great motherboard for my ryzen 3 1300x I over clocked my to 3.8gh I plan on pushing it to 4gh when I buy a after market cooler it has cool led that I like and has everything I need just no USB type c but other than that it is a great motherboard and Amazon sent me 2 of them for the price of 1 so ya that's great if you buy this cross your fingers and hope you get 2 like me.

We used this for our custom built gaming pc and it came as a defect and we could not use this I do not recommend this item as it also taking too long to refund and reply for the situation.

Paired this with an AMD A8 to take advantage of onboard graphics. The board shipped with an older BIOS which I easily updated once I downloaded the latest onto a USB key and installed from the BIOS flash utility. The board runs smooth, has a decent LED trace effect which looks really good and has ample overclock capabilities. I'm going to build another system with this board.

An excellent motherboard with quite a lot of features. The seller BlueHorse, was very helpful as I contacted them to update the Motherboard BIOS and then send the package as it was not possible for me to update it with limited resources and thankfully the sellers were kind enough to update it. Pros: -Many USB 3.0 ports -Supports 4K monitors and video -EZ DEBUG MODE -Good BIOS -Great Audio Output Cons: -Output is only through the HDMI port, VGA doesn't work.
