Deployment-ready camp chair - long term review
This chair has been great. It has gone through 2 annual trainings for the Army, a field-heavy 6-week mobilization in Fort Hood and 98% of the deployment. I'm a little under 200 pounds and was not easy on this chair. I had sat in it multiple times and a lot of the time, used it in full kit to include front, side and rear ensapi plates and a rucksack. I'm sure the weight of me with all my gear was in excess of 300 pounds. The chair didn't miss a beat during these beatings but broke about a week before the end of the deployment. The slight angle allowed me to lean back and take a nap or lean forward and chit chat during downtime. From being enlisted for almost 9 years, I have spent hundreds on camp chairs, ranging from $20 to $50. None of them have lasted longer than a few weeks, they always feel slimsy, and the cannot fit in my rucksack. This $30 pricetag on a chair far exceeded my expectations on comfort and value.I believe if I didnt beat this chair down by exceeding the 250 pound weight limit it would have last me much longer. I have referred this chair to my Army buddies and will definitely be buying another in the near future.

Light weight and easy to use
I bought this chair for field research in Costa Rica and I absolutely loved every minute I had it. It was light weight enough that I was able to take it on all of our long hikes into the forest, and it was easy enough that I could have it set up in less than a minute!

A decent option for this price
I've used this for multiple park and camping trips and overall am satisfied enough with my purchase to keep using it, but it's not perfect.Pros:* Very light and compact. Easy to stuff in a backpack and hike with.* Easy to set up, tear down. The poles have stretchy connectors and snap into place making it easy to assemble and disassemble. Getting the seat cover on the frame is a minor challenge, but it's really not that bad.* Cheap. Compared to similar style chairs from places like REI, you can't beat this price, but you get what you pay for.Cons:* Poor balance. Unless you are on perfectly flat ground, it's hard to sit on. If the ground is uneven, I tended to tip or slide in the chair and wasn't able to find a comfortable balance.* Wind will blow it away. If you aren't sitting on it, I would advice flipping it upside down and putting something heavy on it like a piece of firewood or a rock. A gust of wind will easily blow it away. It's weight is a benefit when packing it, but not when it's set up.

Don’t buy a chair at REI
Many friends have complemented my chair while they sit in their $100 store bought chairs that don’t stack up to this one: comfort, sturdiness, lightweight, packs small, good looking.

Compact and Lightweight
Excellent low, lightweight, compact chairs, in cool bags that will clip to your belt to free your hands. Probably not good if you weigh over 250. If you do not order the upgrade with feet, you cannot just add them later. Different design.

... 6 feet tall and 220lbs and sat in this comfortably for 6 hours at a hillclimb the other day
I'm 6 feet tall and 220lbs and sat in this comfortably for 6 hours at a hillclimb the other day. Can't beat how small and light they are.

I had an issue and the seller was absolutely great!
I did not have high hopes for this chair. I’ve paid much more for chairs that have started falling apart shortly after purchase. I sit in this thing nearly every day and no signs of seam separation or any other flaw.EDIT: (I finally had an issue with the frame. One of the legs broke completely off when I leaned over to pick something up. I messaged the seller and asked if I could by another leg to repair my beloved chair. Instead they are sending me an entire frame at no charge. That is great service. I’d already been looking at other Marchway items and I’ll be far less hesitant about pulling the trigger.)I’m 5’7” and the top of the back hits me at the shoulder blades and just below the shoulders themselves. You don’t need a high back unless you’re several inches taller or have an extremely long torso and short legs. It’s easier to get out of than you might think. Just put your heels tucked under the front edge of the chair, and stand up. You may have to lean forward a bit.It apparently looks intimidating to set up because I always get comments on how someone doesn’t have an engineering degree, but people just prefer chairs that unfold around joints that stay attached. It’s not difficult at all. Every pole is attached via shock-cord to the primary frame, so it’s a joint, albeit a floppy one. As long as you can remember the two longer poles are the back you can’t mess it up. The seat itself is hard to stretch into place the first couple of times, but after you sit in the chair it becomes much easier. I slide the two ends of the bag onto the front seat poles before attaching the seat so it doesn’t blow away. Stand or kneel on it while assembling before that point (I live in Kansas where wind is pretty much constant).I also purchased the sand mat that attaches to the legs of many of these types of chairs so that the legs don’t sink into the ground. Well worth it, and I would get it even for a more expensive chair of this type like the REI or Helinox versions.

Comfortable, Stable, Easy to set up
Perfect little chairs, I’m 178cm and 84kg and these feel sturdy and safe. They are a breeze to set up too at just under 45 seconds! Highly recommend!
