It works fine. I like it especially when I double a cake recipe. Love the mixer.

Q: What's the ice cream attachment model for this?

The KICA0WH is the correct one, but it is very finicky. I have it and hate it. Look at Cooks Illustrated's website for an honest review.

Q: Can the bowl be heated on the stove?

Yes it can BUT do not purchase this from these people, We had problems and they did not make good on anything. The bowl had manufacturing dust you wouldn't believe (have to wash bowl a 1/2 doxen times to stop dust particles, also the mixer didn't reach the bottom of bowl on mixing. ALso motor works when it wants to.

Q: Why does the actual website for Kitchenaid not list the nickel pearl color? Is it the same mixer?

I Believe it is. I also visited a restaurant supply store here where I live and they had one in "white" telling me they thought it was the only color it came in. The numbers match and have that orange cord. I did a ton of research for a stand/mixer and and this had the best reviews overall.
