SHURFLO255-323 Twist-On Water Strainer (1202.101)

Q: Dose this screw onto a 1/2" pip

1/2" hose barb on one side and 1/2" NPSM female thread on other side.

Q: Will the clear cap fit a 255-223? Can't seem to locate a 223. They clear cap cracked on mine.

Ms. Wheeler, to be honest I'm not certain. I purchase this model and another (which turned out to be the same thing) hoping one would work. It ended up perfectly fitting a Hi-Flo Gold Series pump for my tow-behind boom sprayer, perfectly. I *think* the other one I order was marked as a 223. I saw no difference in them and both fit my pump perfectly. Personally, I'd try it.

Q: my filter is leaking around the threaded connector. Hand tightened but don't want to break. Any suggestions?

First of all, check to be 100% sure its not cross threaded. If that's not the case, use some teflon plumbers tape on the threads and this should seal it up. Best of luck.
