Tide of Iron: Normandy

The game comes with an easy to follow rule book, and the plastic pieces are very detailed. The game comes with Panther German tanks including King Tigers and Stugs. Also comes with with USA M-10 Tank Destroyers. It also comes with terrain tiles sturdy Map hex boards with Normandy landscaping. The game comes with cards, dice and British infantry pieces. You will need the Tide of Iron basic game to play this game because it uses lots of basic game pieces and the basic rule book with the expansion rules.

I am giving this one star because I bought this and the rest of the expatiation's and the main game and 2 of the games are missing pieces. I tried to contact A1 Games and Fantasy Flight Games about replacement parts. It looks like A1 is no longer around and FFG just has not gotten back to me at all so I am giving this one star and telling you if you do buy the games just know if there is a problem you will more than likely not be able to fix it. If I get this fixed I will come back and fix the review of the game.

Excellent expansion, I highly recommend it, but only for hard core gammers that love the base game. Also contains the tanks miniatures you will need to play the first scenario of the Tide of Iron New Wave core set rule book if you have the original core set and want to teach the game to other gammers.

Not a "mus have", but definitely a good to have, especially if you're a collector of the series. Includes some really nice looking King Tiger tanks. The map boards are tip notch. Really nice.

Fantasy Flight Games' "Tide of Iron: Normandy Campaign Expansion" is a great way to expand "TOI." Players can reenact the historic battles for Normandy in specially crafted scenarios. You can command the Allied armies as they attempt to take the beach, or the Nazis who tried in vain to defend it. Subsequent scenarios take players further inland, into the deadly bocage that provided so many wonderful defensive positions for the Jerries. What is really fun about this expansion is the campaign scenarios that provide a linked experience as you carry over units from one game to the next, evolving their abilities when the survive, or eliminating them when they do not. Fantasy Flight recently announced that they would no longer be producing the "Tide of Iron" series, and the license has been picked up 1A Games, which has already produced the wonderful "Stalingrad" expansion to the base game. Here's hoping 1A Games will continue to add to this wonderful war game series.

RECEIVED THE GAME FROM USA TO AUSTRALIA IN A PLASTIC BAG (REALLY !!!!!) THE CORNER OF THE BOX WAS DENTED AND RIPPED AND SOME OF THE TILES INSIDE THE BOX DAMAGED, FOR $109 I WOULD EXPECT A CARDBOARD SLEEVE LIKE MOST AMAZON DELIVERIES ESPECIALLY WHEN TRAVELLING HALF WAY ROUND THE GLOBE, SUPER DISAPPOINTED
