Bohning Pro Class Fletching Jig with Straight Clamp Red

The dial turns for perfect 3 part fletching gluing. It also includes a 4 fletching ring for the jib. It takes just a little eye-estimate effort in lining up the magnetic clip to your arrow shafts, but once it's set, get your glue, timer, and vanes because you are about to do all your arrows. the great thing is that if you want to do the offset or spiral vanes, you just need to buy the clip for "right" of "left" and use the same jig. There are mounting holes in the base, so you can hard mount it through some wood onto a bench or just do what I do, place it on the coffee table as I watch TV. I compared my redone vanes to a "professional" shop. Yeah, mine were cleaner, straighter, and overall better installed. The shop has stupid amounts of glue and some vanes weren't straight, well, I fixed those. very good product for the budget.

Received yesterday, opened package and took about 3 minutes to adjust. In less than an hour I had 5 arrows fletched. That included stripping and cleaning old fletches off, eating dinner and finally applying new Blazers. Worked like a charm. I had used a Bitzenburger about twenty years ago. Both work great. Bitzenburger will probably last longer with the all metal construction but for as few arrows as I will need to fletch the Bohning will suit me just fine and for under $30 you can't really go wrong. Would definitely recommend this product.

This jig works very well out of the box and even better with a few modifications. I added a little bit of tape to the center of the inside where the nock goes to eliminate some play. This definitely makes the uniformity better. I was a little intimidated when I first decided to try fletching my own arrows but honestly they look just as good as the factory fletchings. It's pretty easy to use with a little common sense. In the video you can see an example of a 4flech and a 3 flech, both with a 2 degree offset. It does feel like the screw to change the plates that determine 3 or 4 fletchings could be stripped easily if you go crazy tightening it. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THAT TIGHT! Over all it was a good investment!

Handy little jig easy to use

I've been a bow shooter my whole life, and only recently started fletching my own arrows. This gets the job done perfectly. I use it with G5 G-Lock Blu Glue. Sets within 5-7 minutes and on to the next one. Fully cured in 24 hours. The turn knob works well, the magnet for the clamp is strong and the seat it makes on the arrow shaft is true. Easy to confirm alignment with other fletches.

This is my first fletching jig. Very simple to use and sturdy. I like the magnet that allows you to align with the arrow. and as you push forward onto the shaft, it makes contact at the correct angle. I like that as you turn the dial, it stops at the correct degree for the 3 fletching arrow. But, there is also a tool to change to a 4 fletching shaft. Really nice unit.

While it's pretty easy to figure out how to fletch using helpful youtubers who have posted fletching videos. There is nothing (that I can find) on setting the jig up for 3 or 4 feather fletching. I could give a higher rating if I received instructions on how to use it.

First time using a jig and man, does it make life easy. It's pretty straightforward and the jig is well built and does the job its supposed to do.

I've fletched at least a dozen arrows with this jig and have had zero issues. As long as I do my part the jig performs as advertised.

This is my first fletching jig and I don't see much of a reason to upgrade to a "higher end" jig. While it is made of plastic, the whole unit has a great weight and quality feeling to it. Not flimsy at all, I was able to Fletch 6 arrows in about half an hour my first time using it with only screwing up one vane due to inexperience and not an issue with the jig. Being on the lower end of the price scale, it lacks a couple features other higher end jigs have but nothing you're going to miss if you're only looking for a personal jig to do a few arrows here and there. Comes with a straight clamp but you can buy a right hand helical clamp as well. Switching over to a four vane configuration was easy but noticed a bit of clearance issues once I made it to the fourth vane but nothing that stopped me from getting it done. Only issue I can foresee happening is glue building up on the plastic if you're a bit sloppy with the glue but a quick scrape with a blade should take it off no problem.
