Great saw bad battery
Great saw like the original. The slight delay when you pull the trigger as well as the safety took a little getting use to. Sadly I have already had a battery go bad and have only charged it four times. I've been a framer for 35 years and only use Skil but will probably stick with my corded saw for most work.

Skilsaw has a winner
This is the nicest circular saw i have ever ran. I work as a carpenter and have ran makita and dewalt at work, i bought this and there is no comparison. Don’t let the weight scare you. On a board it makes for an incredibly stable cut and the power and smoothness of this saw is unreal. I have never cut more accurately in my life. The sight line is unmatched. Little things make a saw a winner and this has nailed them all. I just had it sit out in 20 degree temps in the wind today for over 9 hours framing a custom fence and it still has half a battery and the other that sat in my cold truck, full charge. It takes oil, some may see that as a downside, i like that I can maintain it myself and not have it burn up on me. Everything is metal where it counts and the large battery balances it quite nicely. Oh and the charger does charge the monstrous batteries in one hour. Can’t beat that. If you are a carpenter using a circular saw daily this one is worth the money. You get what you pay for.

Heavy
ConsIt's a boat anchor .The dust blows out the handle right back in your face.Cutting wet material the dust gets clogged inside the handle and blows all over your cut marks especially on ripsProsThis saw is a beast .The battery life is great for cross cuts bad for rip cuts get two battery's .It cuts straight do to it's weight .It will eat just about anything even with a dead battery .It doesn't have the typical wrist twisting tourque a corded worm drive has at the beginning of a cut but has a lot of tourque and I haven't had any kick back useing this saw .My favorite saw out of my worm drives I don't trip over cords ...

Good
I really like this product I only use it for side job or small jobs because of the weight. But if you planning on use it all day you will need 2 batteries. I gave it a 4 🌟 because of the weight on the battery

Make sure it will work on your materials before you buy this.
I must report that after extended use I find it sadly lacking in power. It stalls in the kerf easily!I made certain to use the supplied wrench 1/8 of a turn past finger tight, also a little more -Perhaps it’s the safety slip clutch blade drive, maybe the battery? I’ve edited this review after learning they’ve made the 10 1/4” version. Now if all you’ll cut is fir, pine, hemlock 2x4’s you may be ok cordless is very handy. So here is what I strongly encourage before you shell out your hard earned money borrow one, give it a real test. Don’t be wowed by impressive videos.Influencers / cheerleaders are doing what they do. Try it for yourself, you’re paying for the tool, not them.
