Excellent book with engaging history of such a delightful type of Japanese folk art. I first read about the current Kanban exhibit in the Mingei Museum in San Diego in the Japan Times, purchased the book and read the entire book within a matter of days. How I wish I could travel to San Diego to view the current exhibition. Definitely a collectible resource for those who are fascinated with shop signs (as I am).
