I would avoid this cable as it has done damage to my newly upgraded iPod video! It has somehow built up an extreme heat to melt itself, part of the new cover, shrink the clickwheel, home button fall out and burnt some of the connection dock. I did receive a refund however, I am now faced with repairing the damaged areas that will cost me again after just upgrading it! Not a happy customer.

Bought this to charge ipad 1st version so i could use it as an indoor security camera, it never even gave the hint of a charge. So back it went.. My son discovered one in a packet, plugged in and hey ho it began to charge. You are either lucky or not with these cables.

Bought yesterday, received a few hours ago. Speedy delivery.Charges iPod touche first generation without a problem.Unplugging the cable from the iPod wass troublesome. The cover for the connection at that end came loose laying bare the inside of the iPod side plug. This cable won't last me very long.Happy it is charging my iPod but unhappy with it almost braking when I tried to disconnect the cable.

I bought 2 of these. One cable would charge but not synch data with my iPhone 4 and 4s. The other cable will synch data with both my iPhone 4s and 4 but will only charge the iPhone 4s (the iPhone 4 reports "This accessory may not be supported" and refuses to charge). I'll keep this one for my iPhone 4s and return the other for refund. I never had such problems with Genuine Apple cables. Not impressed, I suppose you get what you pay for...

Used this for the first time with my Lenovo laptop, it charged the device, but when I unplugged the wire from my laptop a part of it had lodged in my USB port. I have tried everything to remove the lodged part but it has rendered my laptop's USB port totally unusable and I keep getting pop up errors on my laptop because of it. I got a refund for the item but not really good enough when it has caused irreparable damage to my laptop.
