Playmobil 5131 Fishing Boat with Underwater Motor

We are avid playmobil nautical craft fans-! Consistently we play with Playmobil 4862 Speed Boat (Purchased from Amazon.com) and Playmobil Rowboat Dinghy (Purchased from TRU)This boat does not drain well when put in our bath toy collander overnight, as the other boats do with no problem.Assembly was more difficult because there are several pieces you must install before others in order for it to be properly put together.It is near impossible to reverse engineer the assembly.There is a fishing rod with string, a small knife, and a fishing spear with hook, all of which are problematic small, sharp, and awkward pieces when playing in a bathtub. Be warned-!Price-wise we got this for nearly $40 when we got speed boat for $20. Speed boat has scuba gear for entire family. It's a much better deal. If I could go back in time, I would not have purchased this toy.

My son had been asking for a fishing boat forever but does not show much interest in this product. It has several small pieces that are hard to keep up with. It does have many detailed parts and that may be good for some who like this type of pretend play but for my 4 year old just more stuff to pick up after.

At our house we love playmobil. We bought this set after buying the speed boat set. Our daughters loved playing with the boat so much that they were having some issues sharing. The only cons to this set (and really they aren't big issues) is that this watercraft takes water on a bit easier than the speed boat (very frustrating tow two year old) and it only comes with one man (not a big issue at our house since playmobil people are pretty populous, but it could be an issue if this were your first set).my two daughters have had a lot of fun with it in and out of water, I would recommend it to anyone!

My son loves this. It really floats and we got him the little motor to go with it and he loves playing with it in the water. The motor is interchangeable among the other boats he has too.

My little granddaughter was pleased with the bat and plays with it in th bathtub. The only downside: it is smaller than I expected and the pieces are tiny, making them hard to handle and easy to lose.

I bought this and the speed boat for tub time at my house. My grandsons enjoy playing with these; however, some of the pieces are very small and tubs with a high drain cover could possibly lose the smaller parts. My tub is OK.

We gave this to a 5 year old for his birthday. He loves it. Opened it in front of many kids at the park and they all gathered around to see it.

I'm a big fan of Playmobil and this is one of their best. The fishing boat design is particularly charming with has all the great details you'd expect... fishing rods that catch the fish, tiny crates and jolly fisherman with stubble. It's also particularly robust... no flaps, doors, turrets or ramps to fall off this model (unlike the Playmobil 5127 Car Ferry with Pier). It's a nice size too, perfect for the bath tub. In addition, all the little bits are useful and have their place (apart from the seagull maybe) so they get played with rather than just serving as scene setting. My son is particularly fond of swamping the boat with a wave which washes all the bits overboard which then have to be retrieved by a diver (from another Playmobil set). It also gets used in conjunction with the dock from the ferry set and the diving submarine Playmobil - Deep Sea Submarine 3611. He also uses the motor from the submarine (although you can buy it separately Playmobil 7350 Underwater Motor and the boat chugs round at a lovely speed.This is a great set and a good introduction to Playmobil if you haven't got any. What a wonderful boat from this excellent brand.Playmobil think of everything and this toy absorbs small people for many hours. My children have learnt to really prize all the tiny bits and store them with great care. Playmobil toys really teach kids to look after their toys and therefore playmobil lasts for years and years. this boat has fisherman that can hold the rod and catch the fish, figures to sit and pilot the boat etc. I bought this for a 4 yr old girl who loves this in the bath. Kids adore assembling it, all part of the toy ! it is beautifully designed and a quality product and does what kids want it to do , ie fishermans hands to hold the steering wheel/ bucket handle. so i highly recommend even at full price.

My 3 1/2 year old had this for Christmas. He loves playing with it in the bath but I have had to take ALL of the small parts away for now as he would just lose them and I would spend ages looking for them! He seems quite happy playing with just the boat, fisherman and life ring for now - especially in the bath. The fishing rod is too fiddly for him at the moment so I've put it away until he's a bit older (the fish have a tiny hole in their mouths which you have to push onto the bit at the end of the rod - personally I think it would have been better if they were magnetic). I bought this when it was on special offer and although I think it's a good toy, I would not have paid the full RRP for it. My little boy is below the recommended age for this toy so I'm hoping he'll be able to get more play out of it as he gets older.

My children are more lego fans but I have recently purchased a few Playmobil items for my younger son who struggles a bit assembling lego and he loved this. He was able to assemble it himself and enjoyed putting the stickers on. It's a great size, with good attention to detail and he loves it because he can take it in the bath!I will be buying more Playmobil items. They are good value for money.

Bought for my son for christmas and without fail it comes out every bath time, he never gets bored. There are lots of little pieces so have to double check before pulling the plug, so make sure age appropriate. We also purchased the motor for the boat which adds even more fun!

My son is 2.5 years old but has cerebral palsy so is a little behind. He adores his "boop".. he plays with it constantly and all of the little additions, like the fish and rod, have just fascinated him for hours. Highly recommend this to anyone - if you think there's a chance your little one will like it, buy it and I BET they will. Massive hit in our house!

My son uses this in the bath and his imagination runs wild when he is using it. The only downside is that you have to be very careful not to loose any of the very small pieces down the plughole - I'm sure there is something from this boat currently blocking our U-bend.

got this for my grandson aged 5 . He loved it , and plays with it a lot - in the bath and in the garden with a bowl of water . He loves going fishing with his Daddy , so this very well made toy just suited him . Playmobil is great for a child's imaginative play , and is sturdy and well made.

Fantastic toy. Much cheaper than most Playmobil toys but still has the thoughtful features (for example fish that can be 'caught' on fishing rod). Bought for my four year old as a fun bath toy. A year later we're still playing with it

No sharp corners and solidly made, our 3 year old grandchild loves it. We bought the pirate ship and this one together, his little mind is fully occupied while the cannon balls let fly at the fisherman. A happy little boy enjoys bath time now.

bought this for my grandson's 5th birthday (along with the motor) as he loves boats and it did not disapoint. His Mum says its his favourite toy and he plays with it in the bath every night. Usual playmobil standard well made and durable does have little bits but that adds to interest, eventually I suppose these smaller bits will end up being mixed with other toys.It was on offer so good value and excellent service from Amazon.Happy Gran Happy Grandson

Bought this for my Godson's 4th birthday - he has played with it continuously - other than when his older siblings have taken it to play with themselves! Great success. Playmobil always is in my experience.
