I bought these for my father’s houses he has been over run by moles and was paying a guy to trap them. I install them in February and have not seen a mole hill since. They do make a buzzing sound which the wife doesn’t like. But these things are saving him lawn.

After seeing increasing mole trails in my yard, I decided to opt for a humane solution. I'd used a similar product several years ago with great success.I followed the directions precisely on these. They were constructed of a cheap, lightweight plastic. Even though the plastic shouldn't have any bearing on the functionality, I had to very gingerly press them into the already loose soil, because they felt as though they would break if I pushed too hard. I ended up creating pilot holes first to reduce the strain on the plastic.When properly powered on, they emit a beep every 30 seconds or so. The solar piece on top allows them to recharge automatically during the day.After closely monitoring the situation for a few weeks, I came to the unfortunate conclusion that they were not helping my mole situation at all. Each evening I would go out and depress the grass back down with my shoe. Every day, the trails would reappear in the same spots. I attempted to adjust the location of the units slightly. After a few weeks, not only were all the old trails still active, but there were MANY new trails, too.All in all, this product did not work in the way that I'd hoped.

I bought these and received them with 1-2 of the housings on top of the stakes being already damaged. No big deal, I wasn't planning on using all of them anyway and wrote them off. When attempting to install them in the ground I very quickly learned that pre-digging or pre-drilling is necessary, otherwise you will snap or damage the housings on top of the stakes. This resulted in me losing another 1-2 stakes. Once I successfully got 4 stakes installed at the perimeter of my garden they worked amazingly well and our rodent problem was very quickly rectified. However, towards the end of the summer I was using our weed wacker and barely knicked one of the stakes and it shattered into many pieces.TL;DR: If your careful with them, they work wonders. However, don't look at them wrong, because they might explode because you upset them.

I would have given this product a 5 star rating except one of the units malfunctioned. The unit buzzes all the time and never stops. The rest of units work as described in the ad. My mole problem has subsided for the time being.

I was unsure these would even work on my lawn as I live near a wooded area. I used a rod to make the hole for the stakes and placed them in my lawn between my house and the wooded area and to my amazement I saw no new signs of moles within 2 weeks and no evidence at all since then. Well worth the price.

Moles were making it hard to even walk across our yard. Hills and runs everywhere. Tried sticks, traps, but to no avail. Ordered this item to give it a try. So far, after a couple of weeks, no evidence of any new runs. It has now turned cold outside, but the sound still is evident that they are working. Would suggest to anyone that has had these pesky rodents in their yard.

I got this it arrived Aug 23 didn't install it till last week Sept 15. We were on vacation 4 out of 8 quit working already. 2 fell apart due to poor craftsmanship!!!! And the other 2 just buzzed till stopped buzzing. The return window closed on Sept 22 no way of exchange or return. I have looked I can't contact seller to see if he would atleast send 4 working ones. Looks like I ate this one!! But hoping seller sees his review contact to correct the issue!!!. 5 of the 8 did not work out of the box. This was the 2nd time I purchased these. The 1st shipment, from a different seller worked marvelously. The 2 vendor, failed miserably.
