Fenix continues to rock with great products and innovative flashlights ..in terms of quality the Fenix flashlight is second to none.. have been wanting the TK47 UE ever since I first laid eyes on it..this light is a great flood type light as opposed to a narrow beam spotlight type flashlight..if you're looking to buy a spot type flashlight then get the TK 47 ..it's narrow beam will reach out further.. The round on off button takes a little getting used to .. to turn the light on you have to hold the button for approximately 1/2 second . Same thing for turning it off .. it has five brightness levels ..the last two are crazy bright.. it also has a strobe function which would come in handy if you were lost and needed to try to signal someone especially aircraft that could possibly be looking for you .. it could also be used to disorient an attacker the flashing strobe light wood disorient them very quickly ..The tail cap Has a light in it also. Here again the half second delay to turn it on or off takes a little getting used to .. it operates totally independent of the headlight and has four settings.. The first one is a white light that acts like a lanternnot real bright but useful .. next one is a steady glowing red light it could possibly be used as a warning or some other function like that in an emergency .. it also has a flashing red light and the last one the red light will flash an SOS signal ..this is a high-quality light typical of Fenix quality and construction..The light uses two lithium ion 18650 batteries..I ordered this bundle because it came with the 3500 mAh Fenix batteries.. although not mentioned in the write up these two batteries come nicely packed each in a protective plastic snap shut holder to protect them from possible damage and short-circuiting during shipment ..The light itself feels good in your hand and is easy to hold and also has a very strong braided lanyard that can be attached to the tail cap .. this bundle also comes with a charger A USB type charger that will hold two batteries .. these batteries will need to be charged before the first use as they are totally discharged and would not operate the flashlight at all when I unpacked them..also included in the package was a nice strong carrying case that will hold two additional 18650 batteries very convenient if you're planning a long hike at night or cave exploring where you may use the light for extended periods . Overall I give this package four stars..I would have given it four and a half stars if it were possible.. reason I did not give it five stars was because of the cheap holsters that Fenix continues to sell with their flashlights I highly recommend this flashlight for quality and construction .. it has a lot of useful features and with reasonable care should last for many years I own a total of four Fenix lights and I love everyone of them ..I get good service from them and each one has their own special qualities ..

This flashlight is very bright and the light on the tip is a great feature. However, after about 5 minutes of using the main light on full power, the body of the light around the switch gets so hot that you need an oven mitt to hold it. I contacted Fenix customer service and after a few days they told me to just return it to Amazon. They didn't seem to care that their product could be dangerous. I have other Fenix flashlights and they are great. This one...not so much.
