HoMedics MCS-510H Total Back and Shoulder Massage Cushion

Arrived well packaged & in good condition today. Both my son & I have tried it & really like it, especially that it has various settings for massage, kneading for all areas of the back, with width setting & spot massage on the kneading function & heat (which is barely noticeable). It can be a little strong, but you can just add a towel or blanket, or not lean so hard on it. You can also slide it up or down a little bit so it hits certain areas better. I had found a site that compared different brands & models & this was one of the best rated, & I was pleasantly pleased with this choice. The name of that site is: bestmassagechairreview.net. It was very helpful. I'd been a little anxious about getting something like this without being able to try it out. I had only found two more basic models locally that I could try, so was hoping this wouldn't turn out to be a dud! I am happy with it.

I pull this out when my back starts hurting, and it makes a huge difference. I love that I can adjust it to wherever I need it (my main problem is right behind/under my shoulders). I usually use this for about an hour, and the heat option works so well that I can't use it the whole time. I use it when I'm in bed (sitting up), so I don't need to keep it in a chair to puss myself up against it. Awesome massager.

I love this thing. I am using it to massage by back on my office chair as I am writing this. I have a lot of damaged discs in my back, three of them are herniated. It makes me feel so good using the full back function. At times, if I lean forward the lower function is best. The heat option is great if I am really feeling pain. It does help a lot. I use mine for hours at a time. When it stops, I start it up again. I do not use the heat for more than two cycles without giving it a break. It has a 'spot' button, This will stop it anywhere you want it and message that spot as long as you want. This unit is very well made, and looks good on my chair. I do not have enough words to describe how great this thing really is.

After reading many reviews about this item, I decided to order it. I figured from the reviews that I would either hate it or love it and it was worth the try, because I had 30 days to return it if I didn't like it.The first time I tried it, I didn't think I would be keeping it. Since I am 5'4"and short-waisted, I put a pillow on the seat so it would start "kneading" (massaging) lower on my back and the "kneading" worked great for the lower back. I don't care for the "kneading" on my upper back, so I used the "rolling" part for the upper back and removed the pillow so it goes up higher on my back and it works great for the upper back. I realize you can't make one to fit all, because we are all different sizes, but with a little adjustment with a firm pillow, I like it a lot and will be keeping it. My son who is 5"9" likes it with no pillow just the way it is.

Thanks to all the Amazon reviews, I got this awesome hair. It is very high quality. It has many settings and looks nice too. I share it with my friends when I throw girls parties. It's also perfect for when you have had a long day at work. It's not so loud that I can read a book or watch TV while in it. It is heavy though, I sometimes ask my boyfriend to lug it out from the closet. Now it does not replace my massage therapist. I still visit him every other month but this has helped save me money by not going so often. My back and neck aches hardly ever visit me anymore.

I use this for my office and I love it! I like a deep massage so I take off the cover that goes over the balls. There are two options for the type of massage and then plenty of options on the location, plus it has heat (which I haven't used). I would definitely recommend if you want a chair massager without paying too much for it

Very pleasant and easily usable product. The one part that is tricky...and not explained in the user manual...is that to get it to reach as high as possible for people who are more than 5'8" is to catch the bottom of the back pad and raise it while leaning back to hold it in place. Similarly it is easier to get the lower back completely massaged if we allow it to drop to the seat of the chair. So...it makes sense to stay away from strapping it to the chair back.The product will NEVER substitute for a real massage parlor but it is very consistent, always available and does 90% of the job. Can't beat that!!!

This works great on the lower back but I was disappointed that the massage motion doesn't go higher or lower.. I'm short (5 foot 4 inches) but it still doesn't even reach my shoulders. It also can't reach low enough to get into the sacral area. I can imagine on a person over six feet tall it wouldn't massage even half their back. The part of my back it does reach, though, it does a great job with. I was surprised at how well it does for such a small, inexpensive device. So, if you need a great massager for your lower back, I would highly recommend this.

The two modes and options for each mode mean that you can customize your massage session to perfection. A solid and well made device that is well worth the price. A 2 year warranty indicates an above standard product. I have been using this product for a few weeks and find that the rolling massage stretches my spine and even produces minor adjustments when the discs are a little out of alignment. The kneading massage gets right into the knots and is perfect for getting between the shoulder blades if you raise your arms to the sides to allow the "fingers" access to that area. And the heat is perfect, it gets nice and hot, and stays warm after it is turned off for quite a while.

I like my HoMedic massager very much, I have a trailer for the summer season and need a 2nd one fo there, so I don’t have to carry it back and forth, I have chronic arthritis in my back and my massager sure helps to relieve my aches and pains! I’d recommend this product to anyone who is like me!

This is a phenomenal Massage Cushion. I bought it for a friend of mine, so I don't use it myself, but from her reports it worked immediately out of the box and has continued to work brilliantly in the six months since. It will focus on a particular spot or work the entire back depending on which of the many options you choose with the remote control. As others have mentioned, it is a very intense massage, so maybe the covering towel people are recommending is a good idea for some. I did a lot of research before buying it, and couldn't be more pleased that people's reviews pointed me in the right direction. Get one!

exactly what I needed. Works the knots out in the back. Not suited for exceptionally tall people as you can't move the product up as it attached to the seat.
