As a new Lactation Consultant, I found it very helpful in preparing for my IBCLC Exam. The pictures and descriptions make it very helpful to learn the issues breastfeeding women can face, and how to help them manage the issues. The expression, "A picture is worth a thousand words" applies to how useful this resource is. Some are pictures we see often; others are less frequent occurrences but it is good to know that I have seen it before in, "The Atlas". I remember many times when I saw a situation in real life for the first time, I was confident in helping the mom because I had seen it before in this book. The text is very helpful, too, and many of the descriptions and recommendations have helped me tremendously in my practice. The reason why I have purchased three editions is because our field is always being updated with new information, and the new editions help keep me up to date, and prepare for not only for the next exam, but for the next mom who asks for my help. This book would be very useful for staff at OB or Pediatrics offices or clinics, or anywhere that helps women who are breastfeeding or wish to learn more about it. The book arrived quickly! I have not yet sit for the LC exam, but I like the breakdown of information in this book better than any of the others. There are 18 chapters and the chapters are concisely written with the most important information of each topic being presented. The pictures are also very helpful and clear.

A must have for every midwife. Great book, but poor packaging!
I have third edition of this book and wanted to get the newest one with a better quality. The print quality is overall good, but i had a big problem with shipment. Amazon shipped the book in a simple envelope. It had some bubbles, but i mean come on! The book was to be shipped to Turkey. The book has some deformations due to poor packaging and handling during transportation. Otherwise, i'm very satisfied with the book.

Detailed, classic and summarized key clinical issues with helpful prep pics for clinical work and IBCLE exam prep. Used post-UCSD IBCLC prep course and clinicals to prep along with free online quizlets and paid LER practice exams. Successfully passed exam!

Great guide to study for the IBCLC
It's a well structured book and the visuals are a great way to study for the IBCLC. I am preparing for the exam and I will take it in the fall. But so far the book a great read for me.

El empaque en el que lo envían me parece inadecuado,me llegó en sobre de burbujas pero debido a la manipulación y al material del libro llegó maltratada la portada de las esquinas y de la espiral. El libro me parece excelente en cuanto a contenido y a calidad de papel en las páginas, excepto en la portada, su calidad es muy baja, en material y calidad de impresión en relación al precio del mismo

Il libro è arrivato in tempi brevissimi, nuovo e in ottime condizioni come previsto. l'oggetto corrispondeva perfettamente alla descrizione sono stata molto contenta anche perché ho risparmiato un po' rispetto alla vendita diretta online che peraltro era molto difficoltosa con il sito spesso boloccato
