Excellent upgrade
I’m so pleased with this! I’d used a Brita filter for, well, forever, and I honestly was just really ignorant about different types of filters and what they even do.I moved up to New England a few years ago and the rental I’m in is in a very old building that absolutely hasn’t been updated in most ways. I started looking into things like old plumbing in structures like this and boy, what a rabbit hole that was.I decided it would be best to upgrade my water filter so it would help eliminate the oh-so-many things in these very old pipes, and decided on this one because it was within my budget and seemed very effective.I love that it’s a glass container instead of plastic. It’s a little smaller than my old one, but that’s no big deal. I’ve gotten in the habit of filling it up a little at a time while doing other things in the kitchen. Is it slower than my Brita? Yep. I’ve seen other reviews complaining about it. But I don’t mind at all. It’s a dual filtration system and that means yes, it takes a little longer. If anything, that just makes me feel even better about its efficacy.I’m someone who sips on ice water all day and my kitties have a large fountain that I fill using this as well, so it’s put to great use!And I know it likely sounds crazy, but the water tastes better. I’m sure some of it is psychological, which hey, fine lol. But it just tastes cleaner, crisp, and more like absolutely nothing. It’s wonderful. Highly recommend!Edit to add: The bigger filter is an absolute PAIN to remove when cleaning/maintaining the pitcher regularly (and replacing the filter itself once a year or so). This part specifically would definitely benefit from a redesign. But still, overall, I’m keeping my rating the same. Hope they reevaluate this one thing in future models.

Worth Every Penny for Clean, Tasty & Healthy Water
This is my second LifeStraw Glass Water Filter Pitcher and I absolutely love it. I wanted a second glass filter pitcher to make my coffee and cold brew from. I can't tell you how awful my local water tastes, smells and looks. I have had the water tested several times and the water company always says it is fine, but still, it smells of chemicals and chlorine, plus my bath water is almost always brown. (No breaks in the water line, hot water heater clean, and fire dept not testing out fire hydrants.) I was barely drinking any water at all because I found the water so disgusting & I am paranoid about drinking from bottled water. Then I got my first LifeStraw Glass Water Filter Pitcher last fall and once again, drinking much better tasting and better looking water. I feel better knowing that it is removing the chemicals, the unnecessary things like lead and mercury, pesticides, PFAS, microplastics, bacteria, and other gunk that I don't want to be drinking. Yes, it takes time to filter the water, but considering everything that is getting filtered out of the water, I don't have an issue with it. I really wish that LifeStraw would make a larger, glass high capacity dispenser and possible figure out a way for the filter container to also be glass as I have tried to remove all plastic (including BPA plastic) out of my life. A 10 cup LifeStraw Glass Water Filter Pitcher would also be nice and I would also love a silicone lid to go on top of the filter for those days that the glass filter is not in the fridge. Anyway, this product is worth every penny and really buys peace of mind when it comes to knowing that I am drinking clean water.

Pretty good water pitcher with a couple drawbacks
We switched from an older Zero Pitcher. This pitcher is pretty heavy and has a rubber bottom. The water tastes good and the two types of filter do a good job. The two things that I dont really like are the1. Water needs to go in the lid that has a little flap that opens when you pour water in. It can spill off the side2. The filter portion isn't very big so it takes multiple fills to get it 3/4 full*UpdateI have had this pitcher for a couple months and the water started to filter slower than usual. I figured this was an indicator to change the carbon filter. Swapped it out and works fine now. The instructions say that the large middle membrane filter is good for a year or two , not quite there yet

Effective, tasty water -- an exceptional filter & pitcher
I love water. I hate plastic and China. So after a ton of research I found this product. Made in South Korea. The tap water pours into the filter, inside a hard plastic shell that sits atop the glass pitcher. Water passes through the filter and is stored into the glass pitcher. I only fill the pitcher up so the fresh, filtered water remains below the plastic shell insert (and hence, is not touching it.). When I pour a glass of filtered water, I add some tap water to the top of the filter area, and by the time I've finished that glass, there is new water ready to go. I store the pitcher in the fridge. I am in the seventh month of using this daily. Works perfectlya nd the water is super perfect with absolutely zero wierd taste. I have never changed any filter (yet... am here to purchase some bc I kept wondering when I need to do that!) The water is exquisite. In comparison -- sometimes I have filled my waterglass from the fridge with its own separate expensive water filter. And while that water tastes "OK," if I leave it on say my desk or countertop for a couple hours, and then go to drink it, I can taste the chlorine like I'm drinking water from the pool. So disgusting. The LifeStraw glass pitcher water poured into a glass tastes just as good hours later. Hence, I deduce that it is doing its job. So glad to be avoiding microplastics. I am going to buy a portable one now, too. Highly recommend. The company website and the Amazon site, however, are really annoying, constantly pushing the narrative that they give filters to African children. They don't need to stoop low and shill for a pat on the back from the woke libs. The filter and the glass pitcher speaks for itself and is an amazing product.

Clean Taste, Beautiful Design, and Worth the Slower Initial Filtering
I bought this LifeStraw Home water filter pitcher for my apartment during grad school since the water quality in my area isn’t the best, and I’ve been really happy with it overall. One of the main reasons I chose this was the glass pitcher. I like that it reduces the amount of plastic in contact with my water, and it just feels cleaner and more premium compared to typical plastic pitchers. The silicone base is also a nice touch since it helps prevent slipping and protects surfaces. The water tastes really good, noticeably cleaner and fresher compared to straight tap water. It’s reassuring knowing that it’s designed to filter out a wide range of contaminants, which was a big priority for me.One thing to keep in mind is that the filtering process is a bit slow at first. The first few uses take longer to fill up, just like the instructions mention, but it does get better over time. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of if you’re expecting instant results. It’s also easy to use day-to-day, and the size is perfect for keeping in the fridge without taking up too much space.Overall, I think it’s a great upgrade from more common and popular water filter pitchers. It looks better, feels higher quality, and does a great job improving water taste and quality.

Hope it really does, what they claim it does.
I love the idea of what this is supposed to be able to do and that its made of glass.I read many reviews on different ones before buying this one. People said that they could taste the difference in their water. However, my tap water still tastes terrible after filtered through this, so im a bit disappointed. I didnt want to have to keep buying water. I hope it still filters out everything it says it will. Otherwise its a waste of time and money. It appears to be good quality. It does filter very slowly at first but gets a bit better. Doesnt seam to leak.

Working good and filters faster after it's primed
I almost did not get this because of some of the negative reviews about how slow it filters and how easy the insert or pitcher would break on you. It is slow in the beginning, but once the filters are primed and soaked it filters faster. Don't expect to filter water in like a minute or two to drink right away. Let it filter and do it's thing! I have a separate 2 gal ice tea glass container with a spigot that I empty the water into once it filters. The one thing I do is I don't push the filter insert all the way down as it is a bit hard to pull out. You need to sort of rock it back and forth while pulling on it to come out. Don't hold it with one hand over the counter or else it will pop out and you will hit the counter and break the glass! Sit on the rug or couch and slowly pull and rock it back and forth with both hands to pull it out. You may also want to try injecting some water around the rim to help loosen it up. Do not use a screw driver to pry it up!The glass container is quite large and I just have the insert sitting on the rim as I don't push it all the way down. That way it gives me a little extra room for the water to filter and fill up. Also I can pull it out easily and hold it while I empty the water into my 2 gal container without the water in the filter spilling out. Once I do that I just top off the water filter so it's going at full capacity. Every time I go to the kitchen I just keep topping off the water in the filter. I have a separate water pitcher in the fridge filled as well as my 2 gal glass container filled and the filtered water pitcher ready to empty. It's a good quality filter and glass pitcher. It's says it filters the microplastics which is one of the main reasons I got this brand. The main filter will last about a year and the good thing is that when it needs replacing it will just stop filtering water so you don't need to remember. Just have a replacement filter ready. The main filter replacement after a year did not seem too expensive for how long it lasts. I did see other brands that were cheaper, but I don't know about their quality and don't want to take a chance!

Lovely and different GLASS pitcher
This LifeStraw 7 cup pitcher is super streamlined and attractive! The water tastes cleaner! But it does have several design quirks that I hope will be fixed in future models. This is just so nice looking and feels much higher quality than the competition - we have mostly used Brita pitchers in the past and this feels much nicer in terms of materials. I was looking for a glass pitcher without any plastic, and could not find something that was completely plastic free, but at least the body of this one is glass, with a silicone outer (removable) base. The double filter is pretty cool and they say it removes microplastics plus lead and bacteria, which I have not seen in other filters! Nice. I was really excited about that and I can actually taste a pretty noticeable difference in the taste of this water vs a Brita lead reducing filter pitcher. The main downfall of this lovely pitcher is how unbelievably slow the filter is...the first use and then following 3-4 uses were painfully slow, it took literally all day to filter one batch (the first batch) of water (not a whole pitcher full, just one small reservoir full). I was shocked. This speed has improved, but is still really slow compared to the Brita. Like really slow. Another design flaw is the location of the handle - I love that it is glass, but the handle is up really high on the body of the pitcher and when you have this half full or more, the handle is hard to hold and the pitcher is hard to tilt because of the weight. Speaking of which, the weight of this pitcher will be a major challenge for some because of the glass--when it is full, it weighs over 8 lbs. The last thing to know / not great feature is that the reservoir that you fill to filter the water is so small (I totally understand why, design-wise, it could not really be any bigger) that you have to fill it up SO, so many times to get a full pitcher. My goal in buying this was to have one pitcher to use for the day for myself so I would know how much water I am drinking in a day and then fill it up at night. Well I don't have that much time on my hands at night to refill the reservoir so many times, since it also takes so long to filter. I'm including a picture of the pitcher when it is pretty full and with this amount of water, the entire thing weighs 7 lbs 9 oz. Another picture to show the size difference. Overall I am still happy with this purchase! Just wish the filter were faster and reservoir were larger.

Quality construction, glass body and water quality.
Super happy with this water filter jug, it is a bit slow to filter but would rather that to have better quality water. Beautiful taste, soft and clean, zero normal tap water taste. Glass is the only way to go, only wish the filters weren't so expensive but again the water quality is top notch -I will REALLY know this after getting the water analyzed in a week time but am very happy so far). If it does actually remove micro plastics will be the big one for me (as it claims).

Niente filtri di ricambio
Non vendono i filtri al carbone di ricambio quindi diventa inutile.

No more micro-plastics :)
I love this. So much nicer drinking water when I know the bad stuff has been taken out, micro plastics particularly.
User
Very pleased with this sturdy jug
Very pleased with this double filter system that removes microplastics in addition to harmful chemicals and microbes. Nice tasting water too! A good option for those who don’t want or don’t have space for an under sink RO filter system.
