STURDY and SPACIOUS - but...
Assembles basically the same way as a tent. Uses 4 long, thick poles for the main structure, and then 2 smaller skinnier ones for the top part. I also liked that I could back my car into any one of the openings and open up the trunk door inside (or just park my car all the underneath it for shade) which is what I got it for.For reference - I drive a Subaru Crosstrek. Any wider of a car would still fit, but there'd be no room for you to squeeze by through the same opening, for example. The best thing about this canopy is how STURDY and SPACIOUS it is. Once you have it set up and staked down, it's not moving!! And with two sidewalls, it provides great shade and privacy. I'm 6' tall and could stand up easily and walk around the whole thing. The only downside is that even though assembling this thing is SIMPLE, it is NOT a one-man job. I did it by myself and it took me around an hour and I was exhausted by the end of it.With two people, though, I could see this thing being up in 10 minutes. It's just really difficult to get the tension on those poles and get the thing lifted up by yourself, and there is a LOT of tension on those structure poles (which is a good thing). They are strong AF and hold the canopy steady even in strong wind.I ended up selling it to a friend after the first use because I was looking for something I could just pop up myself in a few minutes without breaking a sweat, as I take frequent road trips with just me and my dog - but for any other situation, I think this is a great buy and great value for the money!

tent poles
The tent poles broke on the first outing and unfortunately the return window was rather short so now I have to find poles for it if I can. But it was pretty nice before that.Update to previous rating- the seller replaced the broken poles for no extra charge even after the return window had closed. The canopy is as described, roomy and airy. Very happy with the product and seller.

Great sun shelter, and AWESOME for rainy situations
Easy setup for 2 people (approx 5-10 minutes), I put up myself in about 15-20 minutes (not easy, but not that hard). Very good quality. Used 4-5 times on sunny days, but wanted to highlight a recent experience during a camping trip. Had an unexpected major storm blow in during a camping trip, also had two other typical aluminum square frame shelters next tot his shelter, so I put up the included walls and this shelter became the hit of the trip. Everyone was under this shelter since the other shelters offered little protection from the rain (see picture). Not sure how strong the winds were, but the rain was blowy sideways at times, and many of the other peoples shelters broke under the wind, but this shelter stood strong, beyond my expectations. Now all the other people on the trip are talking about ordering one.The only slight negative comment during our huge storm is since the rain was coming in sideways, we had a few rain dribbles in the middle of the shelter where the rain was blowing into the vents on the roof, only a few dribbles thought. But enough where I am considering the inside tent option as an alternative to my regular tent, and these dribbles would be a concern ONLY during really heavy blowing rain storms that a normal rainfly would prevent. Also, there are straps that go from corner to corner on the ground, these help hold the legs in place, which is awesome, but these also present a slight tripping hazard if someone is dragging their feet (not a big deal once everyone remembers the straps are there though).Tip, the included stakes are typical heavy gauge wire ones which were usually fine in normal dirt, but on this trip, with very strong winds and ground soaking rain, a few of the simple stakes did start to pull up after a few hours of very strong winds and heavy ground soaking rain, so I swapped the included stakes out with some longer heavy duty stakes mid storm, and this shelter did not budge.Good for shade on sunny day, but corner sections do block views a bit when we used this at our kids sports games. For the price, this is a great option for most situations, with the legs being wide and blocking some views for sports watching as being my only slight issue.
