Very cool pop up, those sweet 1940's girls that show just a little in unforeseen circumstances (oh, that naughty wind)...

Birthday gift for my daughter in law. She collects pop-up books. SHE LOVED IT!! So I am very pleased!! Thank you Amazon!!

A book of paintings of attractive females from the 1940's. PG rated. the cover is typical of the women shown inside the book; lots of long, shapely legs, clad in stockings. 14 pages; 3 simple pop-ups; 3 automatic movable figures and 3 pull tabs. I enjoyed looking at this book. The 3 automatic movable figures and the 3 pull tabs are very well done. I was originally attracted to this book because "Pop-Up" is featured in the title, and I collect pop-up books. However, this book only contains 3 simple pop-ups; if you're a pop-up book collector, this book will probably disappoint you.

I really wanted it to be cool, but it's hard to make something that is positioned for beauty, in a fantasy circumstance, animate. They are more 3-D paper-assisted than pop-up in the way you think of engineered paper. The works inside each page put dent sin the adjoining pages. So overall, I'd say, meh. Just enjoy the regular photos. There's nothing intriguing about this particular treatment of the subject.

Was very short(only about 5 scenes) Book was heavily damaged on spine and many pop ups did not work.

Overall, the book was in the stated condition except for the last page. The foil that serves as a mirror was damaged, Since the book was a gift, I did try to repair it more or less successfully. The price was excellent so I would have to say I probably would have ordered it even if I had known about the page.

Six pop-up sur des dessins d'un illustrateur célèbre de pin-up. Curieusement, elles ne montrent leurs appâts que par accident, et vous vous retrouvez dans là positiion du voyeuriste. Le plus bel exemple, c'est la dernière page, où le lecteur surprend la femme nue dans un miroir! La plupart des mécanismes sont à tirette, à la manière ancienne de Meggenhofner. C'est un vrai délice, même si on est indifférent aux pin-up.
