Easy install—just watched the video, and it worked as advertised. Now my cabinets no longer bang into my refrigerator or stove hood.I would definitely recommend it and buy it again.

If you're a cabinet maker or kitchen installer and don't know about these, you are missing out. This tiny addition to many Blum hinges are a game changer. They take about a minute to install and can save you hours repair/replacement time for damaged cabinet doors. Sometimes you just can't avoid a cabinet placement where the door would open more than 90 degrees and bang into something like a range hood or wall. These keep the door from fully opening and doing damage. They may not work on cabinets with trays installed which usually need the doors fully opened to let the trays pull out.

This is a great and simple fix to your cabinet doors hitting the wall and so simple to install. I just wish I knew these clips were an option sooner.

Works well. Little bit of a pain to install and they tend to shift when putting the door back up but work well once installed. Note: these do NOT work with soft close hinges.

Awesome product! Just got new kitchen cabinets and I thought I was going to have to put those stick on clear bumpers everywhere to keep my doors from marking up the walls or knocking into each other. I put these little guys in and presto! No more worries about scratched walls or doors! I have the Blum clip-on soft close compact hinges (fantastic hinges, by the way) and they are a perfect fit. Going to have to order more though … I forgot that I needed two per door.

Definitely a must if your cabinet door is hitting the wall, a refrigerator, etc. A little tricky to hold in place to set it in the hinge….watch a YouTube video first.

We just redid our cabinets and didn’t want our new hardware hitting our cabinets since we painted them white so I bought these. Unfortunately they are TOO restrictive and the doors didn’t open enough. The actual design and product itself is great and a wonderful idea. Easy to install as well but didn’t work for me. After trying though I had the idea to use small magnets since the brackets are metal. This piece measured 5mm deep so I bought a pack of 6mm x 3mm magnets which worked amazingly well! It’s also easy to install and works no matter your bracket as long as it’s metal. Same process, take off bracket, put magnet in gap, and worked perfectly. I was even able to slip the magnet in some cabinets without taking hardware off. I’ve included pictures of what I did. So if your me looking for a solution because these don’t fit or don’t open enough or maybe still own too much, try out some small magnets. 3mm basically gave me right at 90 degrees which you’ll see in the pictures. The door more closed was this product, the door more open but still not hitting the cabinets was the magnet.

These work exactly as designed and are not too restrictive... maybe others reporting they are too restrictive did not install them quite correctly? Mine clicked in just right and restrict my door just shy of 90 ° as expected. I will say, the clips are very tiny, so I had to use my screwdriver to ensure they were lined up just right before opening the hinge to resecure to the casework. What I did: I did only one hinge at a time to ensure the door remained aligned. Starting with the lower hinge, I unscrewed the single center screw going into the casework, leaving the hinge attached to the door. I then closed the hinge so I could access the hole on the back where the clip is inserted. I used my screwdriver to ensure the clip was centered and pushed in as far as it would go, with the curved part of the clip overlying the bar. Opening the hinge with the clip in place seemed to secure the clip into place with a slight click. I reinstalled the hinge using the center screw hole in the casework, then tested to ensure it was still aligned correctly. Lather, rinse, repeat, for the other hinge, and enjoy the success!

They do not fit every blumotion hinge, I’m sending them back. For things like this it’s better to buy the component and hinge at the same time from the same stockist. Blum make a similar but different component: 70T3553.

The blum 86 deg. Motion restricker work very well, however I was not impressed on how long it took to send me the product over one month!

These were really easy to install and stop the doors opening at 90 degrees. No more slamming into the range hood or the dishwasher door! I would highly recommend installing on your cabinet doors.
