Simple, quiet, small, effective. Enough air to do the job - and no more.
When I was trying to find a small quiet fan, I felt silly reading dozens of reviews of dozens of fans. Now I feel even sillier writing one.... But this fan is worth the silliness. 1) This is small (2-3 fists (pinky down, thumb up) tall x 2-3 fists wide including the blades while running) - or just get a tape measure and look the dimensions. 2) quiet. The previous fan for wood drying (heat with wood) was a fixed blade (this fan has cloth blades that make it quieter) that I could hear from 30 feet away at night. This one I can't hear. 3) Moves enough air to dry firewood or cool electronics (2 actual usages to date - yes, I've bought two). I believe that most folks want more air to move past them than is necessary for effective cooling. This certainly won't make for a dramatic movie scene with your hair blowing in the wind - but you don't actually need that much airflow to cool - the air can slowly wash over you and collect heat, them move that heat away from you. 4) safe - the blades are cloth (I know it sounds crazy but trust me - it works). If your hands hit the blades (no blade cage as it isn't necessary), they don't hurt at all. My kids play with the fan the use to cool them down while practicing band. They prefer the sound and feel of the cloth blades flicking past their fingers over spending time practicing - yes it is a regular discussion point as to whether that counts as practice time (spoiler: it doesn't). 5) can't say how it would be for travel from 1st hand experience but I suspect it would be great if your purpose is cooling. If you are after white noise, then not so good. Gave it a speculative 4-star for travel. It would travel well as the cloth blades can't break when packed or stuffed into a bag. 6) on/off is behind the fan and it can be a little 'daunting' to reach over the fan to turn it off. It actually isn't daunting at all as the blades have not cage around them (not at all necessary - reduces bulk). The blades don't hurt at all if they hit you - they'll just startle you and make a 'flapping' sound. Once you play with for a band-practice minute or two, you'll adjust to the sound and think nothing of it if you happen to hit the blades.tldr; Well build product that works very well. Would be awesome for small desk fan in office or spot cooling (electronics) or drying (wood, drying rack, etc). If you want white noise or your hair to be blown back you'll be disappointed (and I suspect you should think about how much cfm you actually need or expect for a 2 1/2 fist x 2 1/2 fist fan).

I have five of these adorable fans!
These little fans are so cute. And they’re really powerful. I have them in multiple colors and they are quiet, effective, and easily transportable. They look like a little airplane propeller. I keep one on my side of the bed, and my husband has one on his, and the cross breeze across the king-size bed is pretty good. In any case you really can’t go wrong with this little fan. The propellers are material so if you touch it, it doesn’t hurt. Also, very very quiet.

Best office fan
I have been using this desk fan for close to 7 years. I have gone through two. The first one I only replaced because it did get louder and some wd-40 and was not doing the trick. I am sure it was salvageable but these are affordably priced and so I just went with a replacement. They move some serious air and keep a sweaty guy like myself comfortable. They also make no more sound than a whisper. The fabric blades are amazing and the stand allows me to find the right angle to hit whatever part of me I need cool. I am convinced there is no better fan I may even buy in bulk so I can have these for the rest of my life (though with care they might honestly run for the rest of my life)

Neither amazing, nor worse, but good.
1. Nice design.2. Provide near silent operation3. Takes very little physical space.4. Safe fan 'blade' design.5. Very little power consumption.6. Good for very small areas. Now let's talk a bit about what it can and can't do. First of all, to provide higher air flow the fan either have to run very fast or the blades have to be large or both. Well this fan does not run really fast, nor does it have large fan blades. Yes it has 2 speed mode but the higher speed causes very little air to push compared to the sound it makes. Hence it does the pushing but not to great extent. The fan blade on the other hand is a nice touch. It provides safety for human and animals but in the process it sacrifices performance. Those small blades fail to provide higher air flow AND the amount that it could push is further reduced thanks to the dull edge of the blade design, which is obvious for what they are made of. Overall it will provide a nice low breeze at low setting and about 4-5 feet distance of air push on high setting.I hear many state that it's amazing in blowing air. Well it does that but not to the point that it's 'amazing.' However to each his own and everyone has a different 'feel' for airflow and "how cold it makes me feel". So no argument there. Now all these may sound bad but honestly what I just said are obvious factors that are applicable to most (if not all) fan designs. Putting those aside however what you get is a fantastic little fan that provide some air flow to stale air and help ease the uncomfortable ambient feel.As for giving it a 4 star: I found that when it runs on high-setting, it makes a clanking, noticeable noise. It also mean I probably got a defective unit, but seeing how I spent less than 15 bucks on this 'toy', I am not going to return it for another one. I needed this unit for little air circulation where I don't get it in my room and it does it just fine. So overall I'm happy. Now to see how long it runs...

Perfect for nightstand, quiet.
I love this little fan. Very good quality. Moves air but doesn't make a ton of noise. On my nightstand it takes up very little space and if I bump my hand into it while reaching for my lamp, it doesn't hurt.

Mejor de lo que esperaba
Muy potente y silencioso, gran opción para escritorio o buró en noches muy calurosas, el ruido es mínimo y como ventilador personal es realmente bueno. El material se ve de buena calidad y los acabados también.

Cute and quiet
I feel weird saying a fan is cute - but this one definitely is. It's also well built, heavier than you'd expect and a stiff enough folding mechanism that it doesn't move in use. It's quiet on low, too. When it's a couple of feet away it's little more than a low hum (it's actually a pleasant pitch). It even pushes more air than I expected.I also like that the dial is a large physical toggle. Makes it easy to use with any wifi plug, although I realize that I could just as easily reach around it and turn it off.And I admit the first thing I did when I took it out of the box was plug it in and stick my fingers in the blades. It doesn't hurt, just makes a childish farting noise that I enjoy way more than I should.

Great fan, been using them for several years.
The fan is small and relatively quiet for the amount of air it pushes. It's still a noticeable sound, but much less than enclosed traditional plastic fans. The fan is fairly stable on its little stand, regardless of the angle you set the fan itself to.I use one by my bed for a decent breeze when going to sleep. It also works fairly well as an office desk fan, as it's not loud enough to disturb coworkers. They can eventually start making a bit more noise, but this only seemed to happen after using one for several hours, almost nightly, for over a year.
