Should I put the case on before a screen protector, or is ok to put it on after the screen protector is already on?

I see that there’s a protruding part over the crown. What would be a good tempered glass screen protector that'd fit this case?

The reason why I returned this Pitaka case was because of that protrusion. Since you want to use a screen protector for your watch, this protrusion over the crown would interfere with the screen protector. I would assume that the protrusion would prevent the right side of the case from sitting flush with the case. I opted for the Monocase carbon fiber case cover for the Apple Watch 7. This case had the same quality as the Pitaka cover, but without the protrusion over the crown. Hope this helps.
