Gran Turismo 7 Standard Edition - PlayStation 4

GT7 is a great, fun all around simulator. It’s got world circuits, arcade races, license tests, all of the features older Turismo titles had. However, it’s missing some important features. Every race you start at the back of the pack(no qualifying :() and you have to play through an entire single player campaign to unlock every course. In terms of visuals/sound, you really can’t beat what’s here. It’s beautiful! Performance is also good on the PS4! Solid 60fps all around.

Bought this as a gift for my uncle. He loves it. Was a bit confused that there was a installation disc and a gameplay disc. So there's that, they are clearly marked but he isn't very techy lol. Plays great and is a really good racing game.

My son and grandson love playing this together. Lots of fun

Well let me start off by saying holy crap that's A LOT of gigabytes (110). The packaging is TWO discs (just a little helpful tip, since this downloads from the disc, generally it's suggested you turn off your network connection on your PS4 as this will allow it to install quicker before turning it back on for the update.) Otherwise the system will rubberband between network and disc and cause realllllllyyyyy sloooowww download speeds. Now for the nitty gritty. The game looks gorgeous, although all I've been able to do is the mini-game since the main game is STILL updating and I started this whole process at 5:30pm it's now 6am. Not sure what the issue is but as another reviewer stated, there are some... issues with getting the game to install effectively. I've had to remove and insert the disc a few times and even had to reset the PS4 twice as there were issues with the installation. I would attribute this to the game and development company themselves (not the seller) as I've never had any issues with any other disc installations on this PS4. As someone who's played Gran Turismo since the PS2, I actually put off purchasing GT7 as I didn't like the direction the games had gone. I missed the days of GT4 and GT3 where even purchasing the cars felt more inclusive, but alas I broke down and purchased #7 as I was jonesing for some racing. The graphics from what I've seen are incredible, the mini game has three really good tracks you race to as a timer decreases in value everytime a beat hits. The sound quality is superb and the driving experience is terrific. There are just over 560 vehicles for purchase in the game, up to 20 people online, and yes, you can still do split screen up to four people (one of the few games that still has split screen capabilities.) All in all, it's Gran Turismo, you race, buy cars, race those to buy more cars. Simple concept as always but great execution and graphics as they've always done. It's cheap enough through Amazon that you should buy it. Just remember to have plenty of storage space hahaha.
