Terrible buzzing
Really terrible buzzing noise when headphones are plugged in or during any quiet song which makes them totally unusable

Hit or miss
I ordered 2 of these buds to use with my Google Pixel 2 XL. I got lucky and found them on sale at $9.99 which I think is a good deal... The present 19.99 is risky... Anyway, the packaging is actually very nice and comes with case and extra eartips (foam and silicone). The buds themselves are very uniquely shaped with a shiny black finish. The cord is not too thin and not too thick, also pretty long. There is no mic on these buds so be ready to swiftly unplug em to answer a call. I opened the first pair about a month ago and was immediately disappointed. I could hear static and distortion even before waking my device. While it wasn't loud enough that my media could not overpower it, it was annoying to hear it between songs. After about a week of almost daily use on my commute, the sound would cut off and my phone would show a message stating that the headphones had been disconnected even though I had not disconnected them. To fix the issue, I had to disconnect them and connect them again, only to have to do it again intermittently. After about 2 weeks of dealing with this problem, the plastic part around the usb c plug came apart and revealed bare wires. I gave up and even started using the dongle that came with my Pixel. Today, after about a week on the dongle, I remembered the other pair and decided to try them out... Like night and day I had to make sure they were the same model as the first pair... The second pair is silent when no media is playing and the sound is crazy good. I guess the first pair was bad or the second pair is good. I just hope it stays together. I would recommend researching other models, or if you can splurge, get a second pair just in case...

Good, but not great USB C earphones
Overall, I am happy with these headphones. However, I want to give a realistic review for someone looking for USB C earphones. First of all, I am coming from a pair of Shure SE115+ earphones. These cost $100, had great noise isolation, and sounded pretty good (if not a little too "warm" for my taste). After 2 years of heavy use, I left them in my pocket and accidentally ran them through the washing machine, so I needed a new pair. I have an HTC 10 and figured that if I'm spending money to buy new earphones, I might as well get USB C since my next phone (another android) probably won't have a headphone jack. I quickly realized that USB C earphone choices are pretty limited, with essentially none coming from big name, audiophile companies. Based on Amazon reviews, I eventually settled on this set. My findings are as follows:1. Sound is pretty good. However, to the reviewers that say it is like listening to music for the first time or it has some noticeable advantage over analog earphones, I respectfully disagree. It is way better than the stock earphones that came with my phone and better than Apple earbuds, but not really any better than my Shure earphones. Of course, this set is less than half the cost, so maybe the advantage goes to Viotek.2. Very comfortable. It comes with 3 sizes of memory foam and 4 of silicone. I personally prefer the memory foam - the sound doesn't change if I turn my head or move my jaw. No pain from prolonged wearing (over 2 hours at a time) whereas Apple earbuds usually start to bother me after 20-30 minutes.3. Noise reduction is moderate, but not near as good as the Shure earphones. I had to turn them up a notch when flying and mowing my yard, whereas the Shure earphones blocked out just about any external sound.4. No noticeable drain on battery power.5. For those with HTC phones that like the Boomsound feature, be aware that it doesn't work over the USB C connection. That said, I found the sound quality good enough without it and wouldn't have used it. By comparison, I did occasionally use it with my Shure phones.6. Music through the USB port is definitely louder than music through the headphone jack. Unfortunately, at low volumes, the difference from one volume level to the next was pretty big and could have used something inbetween.7. Build quality and case seem pretty good.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Given the choices available, I don't know if there was anything better at the time. However, as more USB C earphone become available, there will probably be some better options with true noise isolation, music controls, and phone controls.

Great value!
For the price, I wasn't expecting much; so I was pleasantly surprised at the GREAT sound these things put out. They also came with a neat carrying case and a total of SEVEN pairs of differently sized tips.

Not worth the low price compared to other usb earphones
These work as low budget earphones for your headphone jackless phone but are of even lesser quality than I was expecting. Any pressure on the USB end connected to the phone causes a disconnection and stops my music so I have to start it again. And there is a soft but constant static noise.

Poor connection quality causes constant buzzing/crackling noise whether you're playing music or not. Can't even use these for my phone with a case on, plastic part is too wide for the opening.

started poping and hissing after a few weaks
Picked these up just before they fell two $10 (USD.) I've had my pair for not even a day now.My main complaint is the noise at low volumes/ when there is nothing playing, when the volume is set to about how loud people speak it's not noticeable by me anymore, though I listen to metal/ heavy metal so you may be able to with samples that take up less of the spectrum.I really like the foam tips that come with it, gives them good passive noise canceling, good enough for relatively quiet environments. While using the middle sized foam tips and the headphones are unplugged I can barely hear those around me whilst they talk to each other, and me.They sound pretty great to me, but I've been using dollar store headphones for a while so I probably don't have the best ears for this job.I'm tempted to grab another pair now and try to fix this (or at least pull them apart.)All in all, I feel they are decent for $20, and would be a good deal for $10.UPDATE: After a few weaks of fairly light use they started poping and hissing sparaticly while in use.I've also found that with (at least my) essential phone [ph-1] the other side of phonecalls cqnt hear me while these are pluged in. This leads me to belive the headphones tell the phone there is a microphone in them.
