Aquaseal Leather Waterproof Cream, 4-Ounce

The stuff is pastey, instructions are to rub in 2 coats with your fingers. It goes on a little thick, which isn't necessarily bad. I bought this for some "biscuit" leather seats which I really don't want to discolor, so I tested first on some unfinished veg tanned leather -- see attached photos. After about 24h of dry time the color settles in a lot, and I suspect it would weather in nicely over time. I also splashed my sample in the sink, and was AMAZED -- the treated side 100% repelled water, where my raw / untreated leather soaked it like a sponge.I assume this has a fair amount of wax in it, the instructions say to hit it with a blow drier. Hot air gun definitely got some penetrating action, similar to a canvas wax. But this is WAY easier to apply.

Aqua seal is a great conditioner and sealer for leather shoes and boots. I treated my boots according to the instructions and haven’t had any water or salt stains stay on them so far this winter.I will probably reapply in a month or so to keep them looking great. I also appreciate that there’s no smell when using this like there is with mink oil or bear grease. Definitely recommend aqua seal to prevent damage to leather.

Works very well. The big plus is it doesn’t soften or weaken leather. Many of the older greases and potions actually did just that. It will wear off , abrade ?, if you are walking thru vegatation etc. you will need to reapply as that happens. Doesn’t seem to affect the membrane liners on my Danners and Meidl boots. I also use it on the uppers of my Maine Hunting Shoes, Bean Boots, both leather and canvas.Only downside is it WILL darken the color of the leather it’s applied to. Also if applied a little to generously it will leave a whitish wax like substance. Especially at seams.That also wears off with use.Overall it’s the best product I’ve found for making leather products water resistant.

It arrived quickly and in good condition. As the title states this is the best leather conditioner and water proofing I've found for my leather hiking boots.

Product falls apart in wet weather. Not a waterproof material. Even on the dried boots. As soon as your boot gets wet the product will peal up. Even if you score with sandpaper. I applied material several times and got the same results
