Inexpensive, simple solution
This is a simple, inexpensive solution. Fits nicely in my car's cup holders, which is where I had been putting my iPhone anyway. Now it's slightly elevated and cushioned. What more could you ask for for this price?

Okay for a cheap holder
I purchased this due to having slide out cup folders from the dash. I didn't want my phone crashing to the floor. The insert comes out, and I'm glad it does. The phone sits more secure with the rubber insert removed. Less likely to fall out.I have yet to do it, but due to the design of some of the Apple products, I'm going to be making it possible to charge the iPhone/Pod and player by running cords through the base of this, not running in and around. If you need to somewhat secure your iPod/iPhone, this will work for a basic holder. If you want to be able to see your phones display, look a bit more. A goose-neck holder I found on Amazon works GREAT for my phone; plus I can see the display when I'm in a parking lot or at a stop.

Simple and Effective
Bought this along with two other car iPod holders. The other two were Grip Its, one for the cup holder (too tall and gets in the way of the gear shift of my Toyota Camry) and one for the air vent (blocks air flow and I decided it's too visible.) I like this little cup because I can hide the whole thing in the compartment under the radio when I leave the car. Cup has an insert that raises the iPod above the edge of the cup; simple and effective.

iSqueez?
What is it squeezing? The phone just sits on it. Weird design. The channel cut out of the bottom doesn't really accommodate cables and such. Does the trick, but doesn't hold anything "snug." Iphone 4gs

A Round Piece of Rubber... Really?
This is a nice round piece of rubber that might fit into your cup holder - or maybe it won't. There is no bracing to secure the phone and if you shove a charging cord through the slot the phone gets even looser. The piece of rubber shows up with no product descriptions or suggested uses. I can take the proverbial little red plastic cup, shove a parer towel into the bottom, and get the same result.

iPod/iPhone or small androids only!
I on accident left this product in a car rental (it was my boyfriend's). Therefore, I had to replace it and decided to get one for myself. We used this in his vehicle for our iPods, however we don't have iPhones only androids and I found out with a case on my phone it tends to be a little too big and stretches the rubber a bit. It stays in place but seems to be too top heavy. Once you take the case off it works great. So you be the judge. I would refer this to others that have iPods for sure!M

Nice, simple, I'd buy it again
If you want something that clamps down on your device, this isn't it. I don't think it would save your device in a wreck or if you were going offroading or anything. If however you want something you can drop you device on quickly so you can still see it AND you can plug in to the bottom without destroying the cable, this is a nice little cup holder cradle. Also, it's rubbery so you don't worry about scratches and dings.I've used it with an ipod video (for car music people, not for video!), an iphone 3g and an iphone 4s. I used a gps app on my phone for a 10 hour drive recently and although the position of the cup holder in the car wasn't perfect (I had to lift my right elbow a bit to see it.. vehicle was made in 2000), it was a nice angle to view my iphone.I think it would probably work well for some of the android devices as well as charging nokia's and other "dumb" phones. :)I don't think this is a griffin product but for the money I didn't buy it for the brand name. It is exactly as the pictures show. One negative, it sometimes turns in the cup holder if your cables are pulling on it too much. But you can quickly turn it back so not a big deal and it's not like it moves all over the place wildly.

Just does its job.
I have been having this for the past 10 months and I bought this because I needed a cell phone holder for my car. I wanted a holder which will not damage my phone at the same time won't hide it somewhere inside too. Sits just fine on the cup holder and its rubber so holds up really well.I would recommend this to everyone.
