My acupuncturist told me about Ching Wan Hung when I mentioned that my father was recovering from 2nd degree burns which required hospitalization and extensive treatment. I bought a jar since I often manage to burn myself ironing and cooking. The smell is unique and rather strong but the outcome makes up for it tenfold. In my experience, if applied immediately after acquiring a burn (no matter how bad), the burn not only stops hurting rather quickly but NEVER develops into a blister. With repeated application the skin turns dark and then just sloughs off. You may still have a dark patch (the scar) but none of the normal stages that a blistering burn goes through. Simply amazing! I have been using this for about 5 years now and also use it on fever blisters, scrapes, rashes, and sunburns. Highly recommended and will never be without a jar in my kitchen, bathroom and one always goes with me on vacations.

I have experienced a skin rash on my chest that shows up periodically and is very itchy. Everything I have tried did little to improve the situation, even very expensive prescription medicines that I personally don't feel good about putting on my skin. This balm not only stopped the itching, but healed the rashes. It is really a wonderful product for many different types of skin conditions, and yes, burns. I recently burnt my arm by touching the side of a very hot pot and this healed it overnight so that a scab formed over the burn. Wonderful stuff to keep around. It gets the Sammy Z seal of approval.

This stuff rocks. I put it on a couple of steam burns I got from a pressure cooker. I put it on overnight, and woke up the next morning with a thin layer of skin healing over it already. Amazing. Also used it on a couple of surgical scars and the skin there looks better, too. Also love the way this smells. I think it's the sesame oil? Smells like Chinese food to me, I love it.

A very useful product for burns and for minor skin conditions and irritations that has served me well over several months.
