It worked great, for about five uses
The remote does exactly what it claims to do. It's easy to pair, easy to read in broad daylight, and the battery lasts long enough to get a few hours of use out of.The problem is the charging port.Mine worked fine for awhile but on my last ride, I noticed it was only charging at about 3% per hour. Today it won't charge at all. I finally got around to taking a good look at the charge connector, and I saw that it has some kind of film on the back of it. Sunscreen! I do a lot of biking, which means I wear sunscreen. Well apparently you have to clean the charging port after each use, or else the sweat and sunscreen builds up and prevents it from charging. This could be why the name brand GoPro remotes don't use this style of connector. I tried cleaning the connector with q-tips and mild dish soap, but no luck. The charging indicator comes on but the remote is dead. It won't take a charge at all.

Very nice product and works well with one caveat.....
So far, so good with this neat little remote control I purchased for my numerous GoPros. It is well built with a nice heavy duty rubber housing and a brilliant screen which is easy to see without my reading glasses!!! That's a MAJOR bonus!!!!.....LOL!. It comes with a velcro wrist strap and securely attaches to your wrist or wherever you decide to carry it. The only drawback I've found, which may honestly be user error (meaning ME!), is that on a few occasions the unit will disconnect its bluetooth connection to my camera(s) after turning the camera off with the remote's power off button. I have to go back into either the GoPro App on my phone, or the touch screen on the camera itself, and reconnect the remote. The unit will not work in tandem with the GoPro App on your phone, obviously. You have to either use one or the other meaning your phone or the remote. This is not a big deal as I did not intend on using both my phone and the remote at the same time. However, as I mentioned, I'm not sure if there is a glitch with the BT disconnecting or it may be an issue with having the GoPro App open on my phone while using the unit. Other than that, which I hope to eventually figure out why it is doing what I described, this remote is a very nice and well built unit that works flawlessly. In addition, it is half the price of the GoPro's brand remote (which I have never owned) and that right there is worth it to me being that this remote works just fine! Hope this helps.

Works great BUT sucks your goPro camera's battery
I use my GoPro on my motorcycle helmet and this means that it is hard to turn on and off recording and also it is hard to see if it is actually recording. This remote solves both problems by providing an easy on/off button and a visual LED - blinking green is recording, solid is off. It's battery lasts a good long time and if needed I simply plug it into a backup battery I keep in my tank bag. I have never had the connectivity issues reported by others. I will say that I wish there was a bigger display for the GoPro battery % remaining - it is too small to read from 2 feet away. The one issue I have is the significant draw down on my GoPro battery life. I have tested battery life with the remote and without the remote (using voice commands function). With the remote my GoPro battery lasts for maybe 10 minutes of recording. Without it's closer to 20. I assume it has something to do with the connectivity which is 'always on'. This was by no means a scientific or extensive test and your results may vary but the convenience of the remote may or may not outweigh the impact on your GoPro battery.

Non-standard charging connector
It works fine, but I dislike that it has a non-standard magnetic charging cable that I have to keep track of. I wish it was just a USB rechargeable device.

Works good but not RAM mount capable.
It works good, paired with my GoPro Hero 9 easily but the remote does not support a RAM mount. The provided strap makes for a difficult attachment on a motorcycle.

A good remote to have
It's a nice a dependable remote. I was easily able to operate the go pro with it. Though it is not the best remote that I've used nor is it the easiest to operate, but I can use it pretty well.

I really wanted this to work.
I wish this thing worked as advertised. "One-click wake up." NOT. I have been working with GoPros since the GP3s filming hockey games with multiple GPs mounted around the rink. I just bought two brand new GoPro 9s same time with the remote. I really need them to turn on and off with the remote and pair after wakeup. I've tried for over an hour. I can get both to manually pair with the remote, at first the cameras kept freezing, but eventually would change modes. It will turn them off together. At that point, you can turn the remote on and it will NEVER turn on either camera. You have to manually turn on each camera, put it in pairing mode, then it will repair with it. This is totally worthless. I see nowhere to update the firmware or anything on the remote, so it basically useless to me. If you have different needs, it may work for you. Good luck, mine's going back.

Worth every cent for Hero9
I like the display clarity and how easy it is to read. Adjustable stretch band is pretty good. Did notice is loses signal at around 10 metres or so but not an issue seeing I'm closer most of the time. I got it wet but wasn't a problem. For the price it's a must have for convenience when your gopro is out of reach or when you don't want to disturb your camera.

Very handy remote for the GoPro
I bought this for controlling my GoPro when I’m riding my bike. I love the idea it’s got the wrist strap so I can ride choose the time I can record a small segment, then put it into pause again and then do it over and over which is great. The distance you can record the camera at is about 10 m also so it’s handy when you’re doing pieces a little bit away from the camera which is mad.

A lot smaller than I thought
It is very small and could be lost very easily but I like it besides for the fact you record when it is on and turn it of but it doesn’t turn it back on and then you have to pair it all over again or l must be doing something wrong
