Reliable, accurate, and economical.
Stronger battery than previous model, which worked well for 4 years and then died. I can play three regulation rounds on one charge. The charger is a bit funky but easily manageable. The print with the courses is a bit smaller but really no problem. This one goes to the next hole when you do and you don't have to push the "up" arrow to advance to the next hole. I often compare yardage with friends and it is always the same. It is also large enough that I can keep track of it without worrying about loosing it. In summarizing, I would say it is better than the previous model and works as well as much more expensive models.

Works great; keeps a charge.
Like how it goes about 4 rounds before a charge and is super accurate...Great customer service, I bought one and it stopped taking the charge. I called the company, and they were awesome explaining ways to try to get it to charge. None worked, and they sent me a brand new one...with a bit of advice: To charge via a computer, not an outlet. This one works great. Only thing I don't love about is how you have to be super careful when charging, as any slight touch breaks the connection.

Excellent Value - Excellent tool to help lower scores
I have been wanting a GPS for golf for a while and I was going back and forth between the IZZO Swami 5000 and the Garmin G8. But the price difference was to much to over come, especially when Amazon Prime Day pricing happened.Last night I used it for the first time and it is a very nice GPS, not perfect but for what I want in a basic GPS it fits.Features used:Yardage to greenYardage to hazardsShot distanceI did not use the score cardPros:- When I turned it on at the golf course it found the course very fast.- Yardage to front, middle and back of the green are very easy to see and really help in club selection! - Feature that I really liked was shot distance tracking- Distance to hazards on a hole help, when hit a drive that I knew was going over water but a blind shot. After I looked at the distance to carry the water hazard I knew I made it without seeing the ball land.- Using the shot distance I never over walked a shot or under walked one, it made finding a golf ball a lot faster when it wasn't in the fairway- Very easy to use- After walking 9 holes the battery indicator stated it was still at full charge, so the battery life seams to be as good or better then advertised- Stroke saving!!! Repeat, this saved me strokes on the course.- Speeds up play knowing the distance to Front, Middle and Back of the green with confidence helps in quickly selecting your club and saves strokes (did I mention that)Cons- Going from distance tracking to yardage would occasionally confuse the unit and give you the yardage from the tee box, just switching back to shot distance and then back to yardage fixed it. Very fast but it still was an additional step- The charger is not even close to my favorite! The magnetic attachment is finicky, make sure you have it connected or it will not charge and it easily disconnects. IZZO fix this flaw!Summary:Golf is difficult and after trying a free GPS app on my phone and getting frustrated with that I knew I wanted something that was easy to use and gave me yardage quickly. The IZZO Swami 5000 is just that, easy to use and accurate.2 items that jumped out at me that I really enjoyed.Shot distance tracking: I used this after every shoot, except putting. To get "unbiased" data on the actual yardage of each club is what every golfer needs in order to drop scores and play with confidence. Par 3s have always been the most difficult hole on a course for me, there is no room for error. Knowing the distance to the front, middle and back of a green helped me in determining which iron I wanted to hit. Especially if the distance was more between clubs then spot on with a club. If the pin was front I went down a club, when the pin was back I went up a club. I parred 2 of 3 Par 3s and had a Boogey on the 3rd one and that was because I couldn't make a putt.- It helped my chipping on short distance shots. I was stunned at this as I was expecting it to be a full swing tool. I used the Swami on every shot going into the green. When I was 60 yards out I knew how much of a swing I needed for my approach chip and I nailed it. The next time I was 60 yards out it was almost automatic, I knew the swing I needed and I nailed it. I was surprised at how much a difference this made with half shots and quarter swing shots.Ease of use - so simple to toggle between yardage, shot distance tracking and hazard distance. Fast and easy to use.Final Recommendation- BUY THIS UNIT! For the price it is great. For the stokes it will save you, you will be happy. As stated above, every golfer should know the carry distance with each club. It doesn't matter how far you hit the ball just know how far you hit it with each club is so critical to shooting lower scores. The IZZO Swami will give you that data and confidence to know what club you need to make the shot.If only it would just putt for me

Improve your game.
I wished there was a way to pull up courses with a zipcode. I am heading to Hilton Head Island, SC and would like to see some courses prior to playing them. Another problem is that the charger only hooks up with a magnet. I keeps popping off unless you are still. I would think a recharge connection like the cell phone would be better. I also noticed that I had 2 out of 4 bars left for power but if you plug it in while you are on it shuts off. No way to charge while you are using it.That is for the 3 stars because the system works great when in use. Gives you water and sand hazards. My son and I drove to the 150 pole and it was right on. We like it a lot.

I love this thing!
I bought this because I was a little frustrated with my hand held rangefinder. It often gave me incorrect readings (probably because I couldn't hold it perfectly still when taking a measurement), and was a bit of a pain to get out, use and then stow again. I just clip this unit to my bag when I'm using a push cart or put it on a shelf when I'm using a golf cart. I glance down and it shows me what I need to know. If there is a GPS on the cart, it always matches it, as well as matching the readings from the high-end rangefinders that some of my friends use, but it does it automatically. It is true that it shows you the distance to the front, middle and rear of the green as opposed to the actual flag stick, but I'm not accurate to better than a few feet myself (and that's on a really good day), so it's fine for me. Plus, it shows you the distance to the any hazards between you and the hole, and you can use it to keep score. It is intuitive to use, doesn't distract you or anyone else when you use it, and it is always showing you what you need to see. As for the charging cable that people have complained about, it's no more of a pain than my Apple Watch. Less, actually, It's true that you can't jostle it when it's charging or it will come off, but I just put in on a shelf and take if off when it's done. It has plenty of power to get through 18 holes, possibly several rounds. But I make a habit of plugging it in when I get home so I know it will have plenty of power on the course when I go back out. For the price I paid for this, it's a total winner as far as I'm concerned.

Great unit. Picked up all courses no problem
Great unit. Picked up all courses no problem. Screen is easy to see and shows distances to front, center and back of greens in any light. Is great to get your yardages from the 160 to 80 yard range that is the most important. The magnetic charger cord is a little cheesy and you have to be careful as the charger will tip over on the back of the GPS and not charge. A simple USB style charging port would be more than adequate to re-charge the unit thought the magnetic unit is pretty cool. The Swami 5000 is large enough to check as you are getting off the cart and a lot harder to loose. Over all a great unit and would recommend to anyone that is not wanting to wear a watch while golfing

Mala opción de compra
No sirve se queda pensando y a veces las teclas no responden. Tampoco tiene gran variedad de campos de golf.en mexico y Acapulco. Preferiría no haberlo comprado

Very easy to use
I had got used to using Garmin G6 for about 5 years. I didn't want to pay more than £150 and took a chance on Izzo Swami 5000 at £99. There is no touch screen but after 3 rounds of golf find it very accurate and easy to use. Great value for money, however it does seem to lose its signal at awkward times and just when you need it most.
