Better than the original pads, by far!
TL:DR Easy install, better material quality, better foam, better long term wearing comfort, better sound seal than the Sony original pads. Such a good design they should be the OEM supplier for Sony. Full review: These pads fit both the MDR V6 and the 7506 due to them sharing the same aluminum ear cup design. The difference between the V6 and 7506 is purely in the internal drivers and color printed on the ear cups. The V6 is more balanced while the 7506 has a little more bass response. I use my MDR V6's almost every day, for several hours a day. The original Sony pads would have pressure spots and tension headaches after a couple of hours. My prescription glasses would break the sound seal and noise rejection would suffer from it. The Sony pads also jammed my glasses frames into my head, increasing the pressure. I thought I just had to deal with this lack of comfort due to me wearing glasses and not knowing Wicked Cushions existed. Last year, my original Sony pads started wearing out and falling apart. The vinyl broke down and literally peeled right off the foam in strips about 1/4" wide, all around the headphones, starting in the ear cavity and radiating out to the outside of the ear cups. I bought my first set of Wicked Cushions for my V6's then. What a night and day difference! These Wicked Cushions fit like the original Sony's on the ear cups, but have a lot of significant upgrades in comfort, longevity, and sound seal. Wicked Cushions are much more supple of a material, with better, softer padding, and better noise rejection and a better seal to your head, even around my prescription glasses. I get no pressure points after long uses and can go for hours with no headaches. The foam is soft and the leather supple. I put them through a 10 hour flight in October 2019, without removing them once, while wearing my glasses, and felt no pressure points from the long listening usage. Honestly, these pads should be the original pads that came with the V6 and 7506 as they perfected the issues the original design had. This order was to replace my wife's original pads, which had also started to break down like mine did. My Wicked's are still going strong 13 months later! Based on the quality I'm sure both of ours will be going strong years from now!

These Pads Rock! The Cure For That Bad Case Of "Black Dandruff"!
Stumbled upon a 25 year-old pair of Sony 7506s I had forgotten about, and read all the positive reviews on these pads, so decided to give 'em a shot - and glad I did! Unlike so many third-party pads that are a struggle to secure, these really do fit perfectly, and I couldn't believe how easily they slipped on! Probably took less than 2 minutes a pad. Though it does take a smidgen of finesse - they practically put themselves on. However, the other side of the coin is they seem like they could also slip off fairly easy if accidentally tugged the wrong way. So would advise using a small-edged tool (like a small flathead screwdriver, or guitar pick), to help seat the elastic bands more securely in the pad grooves. (See photo). Anyway, though for years I've preferred the flat response of the Sennheiser HD-280's over these (for their non-colorizing and more accurate signal transfer), I'd say these pads are definitely worth the $23, as they brought these 2.5 decade old phones back to life!

Why replace perfectly good studio monitors, when fresh, comfy padding is right here for you.
Great product, easy to install/fit. $20 and 2-3 minutes to totally refurbish a set of Sony MDR monitors I’ve had nearly a decade. I think they even better than the original Sony earpads. Comfortable, smooth, noise reducing without being noise-canceling. Perfect for yard work, or plugging directly to my amplifier to chill in the lounge, listen to my records without disturbing the rest of the house. Absolutely perfect fit first time.

Make your MDR-7506 look like high quality professional studio monitor headphones
Most important thing about these new pads is the perfect fitment. I had original OEM pads and they would slip off the headphones daily and these new replacement pads do not have that problem due to having extra holding fabric. These replacement pads are difficult to get on but if you roll the attachment fabric inside out and unroll them onto the headphones it makes it much easier. Refer to pictures for more information. These replacement pads are significantly better than the OEM pads and they are $10 less than direct replacement pads. I just purchased these pads and I am not sure how long they will last but the build quality feels like you should get at least a year of use out of these pads with moderate use. The original pads had very thin fake leather around them that fell apart easily and there were significant signs of wear after only three months of moderate usage. Even if these pads only last 6 months they will have lasted twice as long as OEM replacement pads I have been buying and for about half the price. These replacement pads look exponentially better than brand new OEM pads and I highly recommend them. One of the big problems a lot of these after market pads have is fitment and these pads were a perfect fit for the MDR-7506 headphones I have. Another problem other manufacturers have is that their replacement pads absorb too much body heat making your ears hot and these do not have that problem and breathe just fine. These pads have also not changed the sound at all compared to the original headphones and anyone that says different is mistaken. I should also mention I have original MDR-7506 headphones that are highly coveted as the newer revision is not nearly as good as the original models. Occasionally you can find listings for original 7506's on Ebay for $400-$500 and I was a little worried that these new pads would not work well with my headphones but my worries were unfounded and I am pleasantly surprised with the build quality and fitment of these pads. I will definitely be buying more of these pads when it comes time to replace them and I am very happy with these Wicked Awesome Cushions.

Great Earpads For My Sony's--But I'm Curious Why The Packaging Contained Something Extra I Did NOT Order
Being in the broadcast industry, I use headphones more than the average person, and while the MDR-7506's are just about the best available for all-around broadcast usage, the earpads certainly don't last very long. Usually I just deal with it, thinking for the bulk of my career that the pads weren't replaceable. Imagine my surprise when I found out they were. These are comfortable, and they fit--though the pair I received seem to have extra material where it fits around the frames of the speakers that I couldn't get to fit as snug as I would have liked. That could very well be that somehow I missed something, but they fit well enough that they fit properly and most importantly, don't interfere with the audio quality at all. The foam helps to isolate the sound over my ears which is exactly what helps make these Sony's such great studio monitors. I think the descriptions claims the pads are made from memory foam, while I can't confirm this, all I know is they feel fine and comfortable, which is just about the most important lesson about this purchase. If you are considering replacing your pads (and let's face it, if you use your Sony's for very long, you WILL), consider getting these replacement pads, definitely worth it. ***NOTE*** Not sure why, but a large aluminum handle was found inside the packaging which looks like it was broken off from where it was originally welded. It has NOTHING to do with the product I ordered and as far as I can tell, only managed to make the package weigh more. Not sure why they did it because since I'm a Prime member, I didn't have to pay for shipping in the first place. I'm a little puzzled as to why they would include something like that if not to increase the weight. If this is a way to get us to pay for more shipping costs, its a pretty low way of doing it, but if that isn't the reason, I have no idea what it was for because it certainly had nothing to do with what I ordered.

WAY Better Than Original in Looks , Feel, AND Sound
These easy to install pads look and feel way better than the originals and on first listen floored me with their increased isolation and much more bass output. The bass was so much more dramatic, that I couldn't believe that changing the ear cushions could make THAT big of a difference. So I set out to figure out why, and close comparison reveals the answer. The original ear cushions for these Sony MDR-V6 cans have the inside diameter "open" and you can see the yellow foam of the cushions clearly in the picture. The Wicked cushions are sewn as to completely seal the foam in the black cover material. This effectively makes the "room" inside the ear pieces smaller and since they seal better around the ears, has the sound producing diaphragm playing in an effectively smaller space, thus increasing the relative size of the diaphragm to the air chamber it has to move. This would be like having a listening room with a 15" sub in it and then building a wall that makes the room 1/2 the original size. Of course the bass will be much more pronounced because the woofer has a much smaller room to fill. Now, some people might say that the newly found bass is out of balance with the rest of the frequency response, but these Sony phones are sold as "studio monitors" and have always been a little on the bass shy side. Using them with a Topping NX1s Headphone Amp (a terrific product in its own right for the price) I have always had to keep the "bass boost" switch "on" to make these phones sound "right" to me. Well, no more of that! They now sound fabulous with the amp set "flat." I also must agree with those reviewers that have complimented the comfort of these pads over the originals. They just feel better and produce less fatigue than the original pads, so I'm a big fan of these in every way. They are truly an upgrade.

perfect replacement for Sony MDR-7506 headphones
My old Sony MDR-7506 ear pads were falling apart in little black flakes, had been for years. Finally I said enough was enough and gave these a try. Use the UPC code printed inside to watch a short video on how to remove the old pads and install the new ones. It took me about 5 minutes, you have to hold down the progress you've made sliding the material into the plastic slot as you go along, otherwise it just pulls out. If you can get someone else to help with holding I'm sure it would be much easier, but it is do-able on your own. My old headphones (about 20 years old now) look and sound great with these new pads.

Man these are super nice compared to the Sony
Man these are super nice compared to the Sony . I have a set of of Sony MDR V6 headphones and ive had them for about 4 years now and they sound great but i just could never understand why Sony put such cheap paper thin fake leather on the ear pads ??? The one's that came with the headphones already started flaking off about 1 year after i had used them so i had to replace them and i thought my only choice was to buy the Sony brand which i did and paid $21.00 for them and they only lasted for about 1 year . Then i got to thinking if i continue to have to spend $21.00 every year in 3 years i will had spent more money for extra ear pads than the whole brand new set of headphones cost !!!!!!!! So one day i was just browsing on Amazon and then i came across these Wicked brand and i could tell just by looking at the photo that these were much better quality than the $21.00 Sony ear pads because there a more thick kind of leather not like the paper thin Sony brand and plus it had almost perfect reviews from a'lot of people . I know it's hard to believe but they are 100% better than the $21.00 Sony and it get's even better because they also give you 180 day warranty and they fit good because they have memory foam for the padding and plus it really seems like they care about you because they give you a card that inside the pouch that has all kinds of ways to get in touch with you if you have any problems and if you do like i said you have 180 day's worry free . I'm so thankful that i get to keep my Sony V6 headphones because they have a great sound and now i can enjoy them even more since i don't have to worry about the ear pads flaking and tearing apart . Great job WICKED CUSHIONS ..... YOU ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prodotto valido e consegna precisa
Consegnato nel perfetto rispetto dei tempi. Prodotto perfettamente conforme all'immagine. L'ho utilizzato per sostituire i cuscinetti di una cuffia Sony MDR-7506 che ormai si erano logorati. Non altera il suono della cuffia e sembra di un buon materiale.
