Laguna Once-A-Year Fertilizer Spike, Aquatic Plant - 3-Pack

July 24th to August 27th, 2024. Basically one month. Second time I've used this produce in three years. It's great, I just have to remember to reorder it.

So easy to use. Didnt affect goldfish in my small pond. Going to order more so I have on hand.

There are so many more lily pads and blossoms than previous years.

What can I say, you push the plastic tubes into the wet earth and the bog plants grow like crazy. The primary differences between the fertilizer spikes over the tabs that you can buy at any aquarium store are the timed release component and the ability to push the spike down into where the plants roots are.

Great for lillies

Found these things cost too much, put them in my aquatic plants, and still haven't see any change yet after 6 weeks ?!

I purchased and used these for some water lilies that I had also purchased here on Amazon. Note that the 3-pack contains the regular sized spikes, and the 6-pack (also sold here on Amazon) contains the Minis. For a one or two gallon pot, Laguna/Hagen recommends one REGULAR spike with a change frequency of one year. Also, note that each individual spike is shipped with a protective clear plastic sleeve that MUST be removed (use a razor blade) before use. This plastic sleeve is NOT a component of the time-release feature, and must be removed (as confirmed by my phone call to Laguna's customer support line). Since I just planted the water lilies, I cannot yet comment on the efficacy of the spikes -- but assuming they work, this will be much more convenient than monthly feedings.

Since adding these to my water lilies , the plants have flourished like never before and I’ve actually had 3 lilies this year so far( my pond is small so I don’t get much anyways but 3 in a row is rare). Everyone is trying to figure out the outer plastic layer... it’s not rocket science... it’s just a thin plastic covering( not the thick green one), just take it with a knife or scissors and stick it in your plants and watch them grow.

Easy to apply to pond plants to ensure water lilies flower well and remain healthy. We have had fantastic blooms. Use every year. Plants are thriving.

I can’t speak to their effectiveness (yet) but these tubes are enormous & difficult to hide. Unless you have huge pots, I wouldn’t recommend them (at least not if your pond is clear... because they’re highly visible).

I ordered these for my natural wildlife/water pond features with plants - very speedy delivery and great little spikes was easy to use so hopefully they will get my plants growing and looking even better only downfall is I couldn’t get the plastic cover off of them as I have difficulty using my hands and fingers -arthritis- but apart from that brilliant.

Added to my water lilies and have much better show of leaves, no flowers as of yet, but plenty of shade for my fish to get out of direct sunlight

My waterlilies have been so good this year. I read about these fertiliser sticks so thought I would try them in my pond. The waterlilies have been amazing this year and still more buds coming up. I will definitely buy more in the future.
