Well, I can say this harness it really well built, giving me the impression it will last a long time. BUT — and this a huge “but” — if it’s a replacement for the end of the original harness that comes with the car (in my case, a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT), why, oh why, are the wires not the same colors as the original wire harness. I had to constantly research a couple websites to see which wires went together, due to the color differences, and, also, because the original labeling of wires are different names and descriptions from the new harness names and descriptions of the new wires. Took me longer to install that one end harness than it did to replace the entire remainder of the new stereo. Anyway, like I mentioned, I don’t imagine I’ll be needing to change it out for a long, long time (if ever), so I can’t really complain.

So I have given five stars because everything is exactly as it is described but.... this actual product is really not needed. It is a replica of the cars original wiring harness, with the female clip that connects to the stock radio. I purchased this conjunction with an aftermarket radio. Unfortunately I had to go to autozone to purchase the correct wiring harness. But that is shame on me for not realizing this is a replica of the vehicles harness.

Application: 2000 F350 XLT Super DutyThe pin holes all line up once you can squeeze this into the back of the stock radio, but it takes some modding to get it in there.It's only a couple mm or so, but enough that it won't fit straight out of the package.I had to use a razor blade and file to round out the corners and edges, and shave down the sides.Even then, it was still a snug fit that will be a pain to remove if/when that time comes.I do not recommend this replacement harness unless you have no other option.Find another brand, or find a donor vehicle in a junkyard for a stock replacement.

This is a REVERSE harness! This is not used to install a new stereo!If you are installing a new stereo... this is what you might need... http://a.co/assarjEThis cable does have a purpose!I had my old stereo stolen in my 2004 f250. Thief wrecked the stereo connections. I used this connector to return the factory wiring harness back to like new condition. You can also use this cable if you want to fix a botched stereo install, where they hacked the factory connector, and you want to return it back to factory condition.
