I love this book so much.!!!!!

Such a cute book! Wonderful illustrations and a great way to introduce new vocabulary to children. The book arrived in perfect condition and you can’t beat the price for a hardback picture book.

Fuchsia is a fancy way to say purple. Stupendous is fancy for great. Posh is a fancy word for fancy. Chauffeur is fancy for driver. Ice cream sundaes are parfaits. And all of this great vocabulary goes down smooth with a spoonful of fantastically detailed illustrations!!! Fancy Nancy’s family is not fancy at all. Which is relevant in my house because our 7-year-old daughter is the fancy daughter of parents who are not fancy at all. I think different families would feel differently about Nancy being so fancy... For us, this book just honors how our daughter came into the world, and she loves that Nancy’s parents are plain and she can still be herself. If you have a child who is extremely feminine in a household that isn’t, this may be the book for you!

A kid stable read

The first book in the series of Fancy Nancy and they wont disappoint! Nancy loves to be fancy, anything that she does she adds an extra touch of glamour to it. Except that her family is not fancy at all and doesn't know how to be fancy. So, Nancy teaches them how to be fancy and they all go out to dinner dressed their fanciest. After a small spill at dinner Nancy learns that you don't always have to be fancy all the time. This is a charming story and you can read it again and again. Nancy has so many fancy things on each and every page that every time we read it we see something that we haven't seen before. My little one loves this book and pulls it out frequently. This would be a great book for your little one.

The book is so cute exactly what I wanted. The only problem is the cover came with a tear in the bottom corner and this was a birthday gift for my 18 year old granddaughter. It was her favorite book. The book is a very nice size.

Sometimes a child wants to read a story repeatedly but, let's face it, it can become a chore for the parent. Not with Fancy Nancy. This is a funny and entertaining story that will appeal to adults as well as children. Beautifully illustrated and, unlike many books, looks fantastic when viewed through my Kindle Reader.The story is there, too, as Nancy just loves living a fancy life and wants to bring others along for the ride. I know that some people get hung up on things like "why do we need to encourage material possessions or encourage our girls to dress up, etc." but, c'mon, it's just a fun book that your child will want to read many times for many years. My farm girl daughter isn't fancy at all but she loves it just the same. Well done!

This is a really excellent book. Firstly, the physical production is very good. The softcover has glittery texture and attractive artwork. Inside, the artwork is of a very high standard. The book follows little girl Nancy (whom I guess to be about 6 or 7)and her obsession with what is really quite outrageously vulgar fashion - which she terms being "fancy", and her comparitively sober family. This culminates in a cavalcade of excess and a minor disaster. The book identifies several French words which Nancy understands to be the apogee of sophistication, and also some rather amusing concepts. The book and this character are quite vivid and is quite a contrast to the contemporary British girls' characters like (Charlie and)Lola and Princess Poppy -it's fairly refreshing to have a character that is slightly fantastic and excessive rather than the aforementioned that are intended to be art imitating life. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone, especially parents of small girls.

寝ても覚めてもオシャレ命なナンシーちゃん。 今、アメリカの小さな女の子にダントツで人気のキャラクターだそうです。 失敗しても、前向きに立ち直るポジティブなところ、 いわゆる金髪・碧眼なお姫様的ルックスではないけど、 一生懸命おしゃれして誰よりも可愛くなっているところ（ちょっとやりすぎだけどそれもまた可愛い） 長くて難しい言葉を、どんどん「ファンシーな言葉」として使ってしまうところ あたりが、今までにない、身近なキャラクターとして親御さんにも受けているそうです。 １歳１０ヶ月の娘は既に虜で、一日３回は読んでいます。 他も全部そろえたい！

Every little girl loves this story! My daughter asks to read this constantly and loves to dress up like Fancy Nancy. Such a fun book for little girls.
