Ello Pure Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve

Like many people, I had read too many articles online about the woes of plastic and steel water bottles, so I decided to finally bite the bullet and pick this one up.The price point was great, and I love the grey silicon sleeve. The silicon is VERY sturdy and grippy, and water/condensation doesn't get stuck between the silicon and the glass-I was worried about how I'd clean it, but so far just running soapy water over it and inside it has worked like a charm.I had noticed prior to ordering that some reviewers mentioned an odor. Yes, there is a slight odor for the first few days that wouldn't go away even with washing. However, it ultimately faded away.Water does taste crisp and clean. This water bottle is generally easy to drink from--it is not a wide mouth, I would say it's closer to a medium or small mouth (It does hit the underside of my nose when i drink!) but it's totally comfortable to drink from.The water bottle is 20 ounces, which is perfect for me as I just try to drink 4 of these per day.Overall, I love it and would recommend it!!

If you want a simple bottle that is glass without the hassle of straws, straps, folding parts, etc., than this one is for you. I purchased several and use them for yoga and the gym. Lots of fun colors to select from too.Pros:> Lid style makes it easy to carry and open. I don't have to struggle with a strap or gripping the bottle.> Color is wonderful> Simple design with few parts makes it easy to clean> Rubber skin adds grip and protection. Being clumsy, I have dropped this many times and it hasn't broken yet.Cons:> Needs a brush to clean the inside> Is heavier than a plastic bottle (as expected)> Rubber covers the full bottom. I have an older grey Ello bottle in the same style. This older bottle's rubber bottom is a bit thicker (better drop protection?) and has a round hole cut from it (prevents moisture being trapped between bottle and rubber. Dries faster.)

I purchased this bottle because I wanted to try out the quality of a glass bottle as well as to be able to add essential oils (EO's) to my water without it damaging my current plastic bottles.I am a strict avid water drinker so having a bottle that fits my needs and works great is very important to me. I'm frequently running around between work, college, and the gym so a bottle or two of water is always handy on me. I have to say I love the taste of my water now that I am frequently using a glass bottle. I never thought it would be such a difference but it's noticeable. It tastes crisper and fresher. I am also loving the fact I get to add EO's to my water now. I use peppermint, lemon, and wild orange either together or separately and between this and the glass bottle my water tastes fantastic. The bottle also seems pretty durable, I've dropped it a couple of times but no damage so far.A couple of downfalls: the bottle is small. As I said before I'm a huge water drinker (we're talking a gallon a day) so this bottle isn't very convenient when I'm on the run and constantly need refills. Also, it's a bit of a pain having to constantly unscrew the bottle cap just to drink out of it.

I've been using it for a year and a half now with no issues. The silicone cover comes off easily with a little dish soap and water and then I was all the pieces in the dishwasher. It is heavy, but that should be expected for a glass bottle. Definitely should be washed frequently (just like all dishes) because it starts to smell around the mouth after a few days. The lid squeaks when you open and close it when it is wet. It closes very tight. Water often gets trapped between the lid at the outside of the bottle after filling it so it can drip on you, but it isn't leaking. Durable to softed falls. This is my second of these bottles. I had the teal one witb circles before, but it shattered when I dropped it in a parking lot, understandably. The silicone cover held all the glass in so it was easy to throw away when it broke.

I love these! I don't know what smell everyone is complaining about. These are cheap, glass and awesome! They do not break easily. I mean--I've had a co-worker air launch one off the desk with her arm, and it was fine. These never leak like others I have had. Ello glass bottles will also reduce your plastic exposure by a ton (yes, the lid is still plastic but the lid is not contacting the water and leaching into it). They are a bit smaller than my standard glass water bottles, but they are perfect for running errands! I love these. So affordable. I think I have 5 or so in different colors. I have nicer glass water bottles for long trips or long workdays, but these are perfect for everyday use. Great large opening at the top makes them easy to clean in the dishwasher. Overall, good product!

Very well made. No issues but teenage son breaks the handle. Kids are rough. No issues on the other 3 we bought. Used by adults. Company was nice enough to replace under warranty. Very happy when companies stand by their products.

High quality water bottle. The colour purple is accurate and lovely. It stands sturdy. I would buy one again. Great value.
