If I'd been smart enough, and with sufficient time available
WARNING!I went to the OCZ official web site www.ocztechnologies.com, and not a single mention of power supplies! - Did this in my search for a replacement fan for the 1000W supply I had.It strongly suggests that OCZ is NO LONGER PRODUCING POWER SUPPLIES! If that is the case, there is no reason to purchase the product if it is NO LONGER supported by the manufacturer. If someone could clarify this, and prove me wrong, PLEASE DO!Thanks!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I have owned this product since Oct 25, 2013. In the 13 months since purchase, here are the results of almost 24x7 usage:PROS:1) Power remains constant.2) No identifiable anomalies to device components as a result of the product.CONS1) Shortly after purchase, the fan began to rattle - loudly. It has not let up.CONCLUSION:If I'd been smart enough, and with sufficient time available, I would have returned the product for a replacement unit. This simply because of the 'noise factor'. It is quite loud, and because of this, I know that it will significantly lower the life of the product.Does that sour me on OCZ? Not at all. Every thing made by man has the potential to fail or partially fail at some point. I just didn't expect this to happen, and at a point I was so pressed for time. Lessons learned.Wish I could return the product now and get a quiet unit, but that opportunity is long gone. :(

Make sure you buy an 8-pin extension as well
First off, this thing is great. 850w is way more than enough for my needs, the 80PLUS Gold feature is awesome, and it being fully modular at the price it's at (I got it for $130) is a steal.Con: I ordered this for my new build and I got it with about 3 or 4 left in stock, and of course, it shipped almost a week after everything else arrived. I'm not complaining, really, but I felt like I was waiting forever. lol Anywho, I read reviews about the cables being too short and thought it was just someone complaining. Well, I should've listened. The 24-pin barely fit behind the motherboard tray and didn't bend at all, so it was a hassle trying to get it to work. Finally got it, but I felt like I was going to break the cables. This isn't a huge issue, but it worries me. The 8-pin cable, on the other hand, was not long enough. I finally got it behind the motherboard tray, but there's absolutely no play at all. It's supposed to be snug, I know, but it's beyond that. Mind you I have a Corsair 500R. It's not the smallest case, but it's not exactly huge. Shouldn't be a problem for the cables to fit, but, I was wrong. The Point: If you get this power supply, MAKE SURE YOU BUY AN 8-PIN EXTENSION. I really need to stress that for anyone who has a mid to full size tower.

Great power supply
This is a great power supply for any gaming rig or any computer that is used for extensive video editing. As this power supply is fully modular, you only need to use the cables that you need, and the others can stay in the little draw string bag that the power supply comes in. As this power supply is 80 plus bronze certified, it will work smoothly for anything that you need it to do. This power supply is a little on the long side, but is not to thick. This power supply is very quite even under a lot of stress. You need to be really trying to hear it to be able to hear it loud and clear. The cables that come with it have a black mesh around them that protect the wires, but does make them a little stiffer and harder to bend, but not to hard. Make sure your case has good air flow, as this power supply has a fan on the top, not on the side. Another down side is this power supply only has two PCI-E connectors for a graphics card, and I have a EVGA GeForce GTX760 super clocked graphics card with two gigabytes of DDR5 ram, so the one card takes up both the six pin and the eight pin. But every rig is different so I am not going to dock a star for that. Over all, this power supply is great for anyone on a budget that is looking for something great but inexpensive.

Rock Solid Voltages
I have owned this PSU for 1 month now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The Voltages are spot on. What's bad to say about 850 usable watts? No amps tied up in the +5v or +3v. Just 70 fully usable amps on a single 12v rail. When I purchased this, it was one of the cheapest PSUs in its class. As far as I can tell, it performs on par or above. I can't speak of longevity just yet but if it dies on me, you'll hear about it.I have to admit the EPS cable is a bit on the short side. I have a Cooler Master SGC-6000-KXN1-GP Storm Sniper ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case (Black) with a bottom PSU mount. It just barely reaches and there's little to no slack when run behind the motherboard. If you have a full tower case you'll be buying an extension. If you have a mid tower case, I would imagine it would reach.I think fully modular is more of a gimmick. Who's not going to use the 24 pin or 8 pin cable? You'll probably even use 1 molex, 1 sata and a PCI Express cable? Chances are, if you're looking into a PSU this powerful and efficient, you'll use at least 1 of each type. Even so, it gives it "cool" points. It's a great PSU and if you have the need for 850 watts and have the budget for it, buy it.
