Perfect! : )
I was wary buying this because of the people complaining the adhesive was cheap. I was unpleasantly surprised when I received it that it's made of a seemingly cheap plastic material, can't really complain for 10 bucks, though. I put it on my car about 3 months ago and it's still there in perfect condition. I've bought one for my boyfriend, who preferred the FSM, and another for my friend. Hers is still on her truck too and we show off our fish to anyone who will hear us and see! : )I can also say I live in a very religious community just as much as the next person. There are 6 churches in a 1.5 mile radius of the town of about 2700 people(just looked it up!). I have yet to be keyed or tailgated in any way. There are just as many obnoxious religious people as there are obnoxious atheists or agnostics(I know how I get around a Jesus fish! : P). I'm not saying you won't have a problem but I haven't yet.I'm also really against bumper stickers on my car, so buying this was a huge deal. It's silver, small enough, and tasteful that it doesn't look tacky or make people gawk at your car.Update: October 2nd, 2013. Still on my car, looking just as it did the first day I put it on. : )

Durable and subtle
I just applied my third Darwin Fish stick-on emblem to my third car. The first two lasted for duration of the time I owned the vehicles; the last one held up through four Michigan winters and lots of car washes, and my car was not parked in a garage.I never had any problem with the adhesive, and it stuck just fine to the slightly-contoured area of the trunk where I applied it on my Taurus. The finish held up as well - I haven't noticed any dulling, and none of the color has worn off. I have a similar Detroit chrome emblem next to it on my car where the finish came completely off in less than a year. The size is just right - big enough to be seen and make a statement about your beliefs, but small and simple enough to not be obnoxious.

A classic, with great sticktoitiveness.
This particular emblem is especially robust in sticking onto a reasonably flat surface (understanding that on an average automobile, there are no truly flat surfaces which are not glass. I got a previous copy of this same emblem, placed it on my car, and the car was totaled in an accident. The emblem was undisturbed. It stuck as well as the day I applied it. As the promotional material says, this is the original design, and I would not want to improve it in any way. The moment I saw it for the first time, I laughed for a good minute. By the way, I have it facing a traditional Christian emblem, from which it was adopted.

As ordered
This is exactly as ordered. I bought one 8 years ago and it stayed on the car shiny and through car washes.

Just applied to car and it seems sturdy.
Many of the reviews have stated that the adhesive strip on the back of the Darwin Fish is not sufficient or sticky enough. I just received mine in the mail today. (9-23-2013) I cleaned the trunk lid on my car with a wet washcloth and then dried it with paper towels. I removed the tape from the sticky adhesive and pressed it onto the car. While pressing it onto the car I got the feeling that it adhered strongly to the vehicle. I don't anticipate it going ANYWHERE. But I guess only time and numerous car washes will prove it's durability. So far I'm very happy. :-)

Nice addition to car, needed a little extra help sticking
Funny little emblem that I have enjoyed having on my car! The plastic is not quite as sturdy as I anticipated but has stood well over time. The peel off adhesive was easy to install and stuck to my car really well for about 6 months. After that I ended up having to reattach it with some stronger adhesive tape. The bumper on my car is a little curved so the emblem doesn't lay flat, which allows a lot of grime and leaves to collect underneath the edge of the emblem. But overall, it was a fun purchase. I ended up buying two of these after I had one stolen from my car.

Just like the original.
I like that it’s not a flat decal, just a sticker, but is more durable. Given what I paid for my last one a few years ago, this seems overpriced, but I don’t plan on selling the car soon.
