Be Prepared
I was looking to add some visuals to my bike while protecting some of the more venerable painted areas and this worked.First and foremost… WATCH THE VIDEO FOR INSTALLATION. Installation isn’t super difficult, but with the thickness of this wrap it is time consuming. Blow dryer (or heat gun) are needed to meld the wrap to conform to your frame. Bubbles are an issue with uneven surfaces (fork was the most difficult with bolt holes) but not impossible to get out. Start to finish, this took me around 2 hours from cutting custom sized pieces, deciding placement, trial and error. This kit comes with 3 patterns (top, bottom and seat tube) but I used those cut outs for custom patterns.Once this is set though, your paint is practically impenetrable. If you’re looking for a long term solution this is it, but be prepared going in. Overall, I’m happy with it and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Art deco is purple to gold, not black!
Second bike using this frame protection, it is a long project to put on, but really like how customizable it is. I use a heat gun on low instead of a hair dryer, and have had good luck removing it with rubbing alcohol and a good cotton rag. It's not easy, but it's the most durable protection tape I've seen. Got the art deco pattern this time, the dark portion is actually a nice purple! Very stoked about that, personally.

Good Product
Excellent product. Easy to install but time consuming. The YouTube video by Salty Beard Adventures really helped. I am going to order a second kit to finish the front forks and down tube.I would give 5 stars but the kit did not come with the squeegee as advertised.

Sick Art, Great Quality — Looks amazing!
High quality, thick, sick art! Love it!I bought two to cover my whole bike. The tape is easy to reposition if you make a mistake.Getting the bubbles out and tailoring it to fit the bike took me a lot of time — but your patience will pay off!

Good product hard to install
If you are one of those people that think installing your own cellphone screen protector is hard work you might as well stay away from this product. Bought the topographic and the clear glossy ones. For some reason the clear one is like 10x harder to work with! It was absolutely torture trying to get all the bubbles out… I actually didn’t manage to do so until I gave up. I figure I’m gonna let it settle for a bit and then try again cause 2hrs in I was exhausted! I was following instructions and had already installed the other one so I n ow I was doing it right (is also not my first time working with wraps) … I can’t recommend the glossy version as honestly I’m not sure it is worth the trouble. The topographical looks cool and was easier to work with so that one gets the stars… over all quality is okay, stretchability sucks, and I instalación is definitely not for the novice. … if I could return the glossy one I would, I’m not sure I would use on any other of my bikes and not sure I’ll keep on this one

Here’s what you need to know
This is very thick frame protection tape so getting it to conform to contour is difficult without creating releif cuts. Thats ok, you’ll do great. Check out my suggestions below.1. Put the hair dryer down. Do not use heat until you have got all the bubbles out and the tape is attached to the surface. Just keep using the squeegy and your fingers and rub out the bubbles then continue to rub the tape down until it sticks. Only then use heat. If you use heat on the clear its done. Removing it to reposition after heating will leave a cloudy residue on the tape.2. Use sharp scissors! Do not use a blade!! I used an exacto blade and it left the edges visible and ugly. Not sure why. Scissors did a much nicer job and left the entire edge invisible.3. Instead of trying to use large pieces, use smaller pieces where contour is being covered. Then use scissors to cut releif cuts in the tape near tight bends to get it to lay flat. Until you use heat this stuff can be easily adjusted.4. Pro tip: sure the spray bottle with soap works but I put a bowl of soap water next to me so I could dip my fingers often. If you do not keep your fingers wet, the clear tape will show finger prints.5. Pro tip: use basic dish liquid without anythjng else added. Also use less soap than a drop. I put a small drop of dish liquid in 22 oz of water and it worked great. You dont want too many bubbles!6.pro tip: practice on your old bike using a small piece to get the process down.I used clear on a black carbon frame and it is virtually invisible! Also, removing it leaves a residue but its easy to clean off.I really like this product and I complain about everything! Now go ride your bike!

Not for a DiY'er
Clear tape should come with a warning label " Not for DiY...I regret buying this. The "Glossy Clear" version should come with a giant disclaimer: only installable by a professional unless you enjoy bubbles, creases, scratches from their tool, and wasting your time. This product is incredibly unforgiving, and even following their video and guides it will not be 100% clear.. you’re likely staring at a $37 regret stuck to your frame like a bad tattoo. To make things worse, the company offers no return value whatsoever – not even a partial refund for a product that’s basically unusable unless you’re a vinyl wrapping expert. That’s customer service at its finest, huh?Bottom line: if you want your frame to actually look decent, skip this and either go with a pro install or buy a product that’s actually beginner-friendly. I expected better, especially at this price point.
