The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed 6th Edition Cards – January 1, 2022

Sooner or later every Tarot enthusiast realizes that Tarot itself is just a surface on something deeper and even more mystical than it initially seems. In that moments one inevitably comes across Astrology, Alchemy and eventually Jung psychoanalysis.The ideas behind the deck and individual cards are amazing, and I really like the symbolism and parallels between traditional Tarot and Alchemical intepretation.Interesting points are an additional Major Arcana - Truth, and two variations for The Lovers card. One is more explicit than the other, if you know what I mean.Overall the deck is very adult, honest and truthful. It's good for spiritual readings, self meditations and studies.The packaging is simple, yet pleasant, I like the blue clothing on the box. The cards are quite thick and they have nice silver edging.The guidebook unfortunately is very tiny and uninformative. The short overview of the deck ideas and some of the symbolism is nice, but this deck could really shine with full guidebook that could help with both traditional Tarot card meanings and basic Alchemy symbolism on the art. It would act as a perfect gateway and introduction to the Alchemy.But as it is right now, the deck can be fully appreciated and utilized only if you're already studying or at least have some basic acknowledgement about main alchemical archetypes - cosmical forces, The Work, Opus, Anima Mundi, operations... Otherwise you might find it hard to understand the symbolism and full spectrum of the each card.In any case, I think the deck is one of the most unique ones out there and is definitely a good addition to any Tarot collection.

Was waiting for a reprint eversince I saw this deck a year ago. Funy how this deck came to me, I had 2 signs during a day and 1 the day before about making a figure using 9 dots making 3 rows of 4 long story short I saw that one day at the authors page that the 6th edition was out and included a new major card called thruth and that card has a triangle shape with 10 dots but the sides of the triangle where 3 rows of 4 dots, that sold it to me I know I was meant to get this deck. Image quality is great. Thick nice cardstock. Comes in a box in blue fabric. Small white booklet and a little handwritten note. 5 stars out of 5 from me very happy with this deck.

Absolutely beautiful cards. They come in a lovely box. The edging of the cards makes one feel quite happy and content. And the artwork? Exquisite. And alchemist could not wish for any thing better.

I have the orginal Alchemical Tarot and I love it and treasure it. I've even had the pleasure of meeting Robert Place and taking some of his classes. I used to do public readings with the original deck, but I want to keep it for special occasions. I felt like the 5th edition colors were a bit too muted, so I'm glad to see the colors restored, as well as the original Lovers card and extra Truth card. I like this 6th edition so much, with it's guided edges and sturdy custom box. Tarot collectors will really appreciate it.

Very nice tarot deck. The artwork is beautiful and it is nice to use a deck based on a different type of symbols than the Qabalah or simple cartoon like pictures. Alchemy is a very interesting path for the fool's journey!

This is my 5th Robert Place deck and my 20th tarot deck. The cards are beautifully illustrated and clear to read with little background noise. The alchemical elements allows for expansion to other themes. There are 2 extra cards; these can be removed if you don’t believe they add value.
