APEX LEGENDS BR-STD Bike Storage Rack, 1 Pack blue

It's hard to put together, but it's worth it. My husband and I live in a small apartment and it's perfect for storing our bikes - it saves space as well as it just makes the bikes look cool. The best part is that you don't have to screw it into the wall, the tension keeps it against the wall at all times, even when taking bikes down or leaving one on the rack. Given that we rent an apartment and can't screw things into the wall, it was hard to find an attractive bike rack that didn't have to screw into the wall. The only downside is that it's pretty hard to put together, but it's worth it so no prob. (it just might take longer than you think it should lol)

First, I want to thank the people at Discount Ramps for the fantastic customer service. I started putting this together, but one of the arms was wrong, so I could not completely assemble. As it is a little awkward to assemble, I emailed customer service the pictures of the arms, just in case. The reply was very courteous, but was simple with refund or replacement. I took the replacement and got it in a matter of days!Onto the item itself. A little difficult to put together, and you really have to pay attention to the steps. One of the bad things that you will not realize until later is it does not come with screws to attach to the wall. So make sure you get those.I mainly got this for one bike storage, and wanted an additional rack for when folks stop over on their bikes. However, and it may be just my bike style, but I cannot store my bike on the bottom part of the rack, even it the holders are as high as they can go. My tires will still sit on the ground. But since this is going to only have one bike on it for the majority of the time, it's not that big a deal. Getting the bike onto the rack is just a little awkward at first, as you have to be careful to have the crank in the correct position so you don't hit the pedals against the rack, but all in all having this is much better than setting the bike on the ground using the kickstand. Ugh. So I'm not returning it cuz taking it apart would be ridiculous! It was suppose to stand on its own once weight of a bike is on it... It is not suppose to need to be mounted to the wall.. The whole point I chose this. It's frustrating cuz it's a good concept but it has some serious flaws. One being gravity makes it crash on top of you while trying to mount your bike... So it has to be mounted to a beam.

I’ve had pole to ceiling bikeracks before and they were just fine. I choose this one as an addition to my room decore. As you can see it is way cool. Now for the directions that others have complained about. They are adequate but first you must separate and organize the parts. Secondly, it is only the first direction that will cause some angst because it is hard to visualize the competed stand by the individual parts. Take your time, don’t get frustrated, and you’ll be alright. The bolts go in one side and the nuts the other. The size of the holes are coordinated.This is a superb bike rack! But if you are easily frustrated and impatient it is not for you.

I would not recommend to others. I would have opted for the Delta bike rack.Set up and directions was not user friendly. The materials were sturdy but feels and looks cheap. The bike arms ends are sharp and can scratch damage your bike frame. The arms are also unadjustable so if you have a small/child's bike it maybe difficult to mount or dismount.Where the bike rack leans against the wall is sharp metal that can damage the inside of your walls. This should have came with bushings.It feels like a friend that doesn't really know what he's doing built you the rack for free.

I really liked how this kit was put together. The components are well made and good quality. Most of the instructions are vague, and the pictures are not useful. One part for the middle brace plate is just wrong. I got it together, and it works great, but it was hard to visualize. Put it together with it leaning against a wall for it to make any sense.

The assembly is not that simple and a bit confusing (had to take apart and start over twice). Also a couple of the end caps were missing, but for us that's not a huge deal since we are using it in our garage. Otherwise it works as described and our bikes are now neatly stored and taking up less space.

Nice sturdy product. It helps to oil the screws for the adjustable height extenders, but all other screw to sleeve connections were easy to install. Initially the box was missing the bottom crossbar but upon notification the seller shipped the same day and it arrived 3 days later. Overall very happy with its quality and small footprint. Highly Recommended.
